Stop Or my GrandMa Will Shoot!!

[quote="abc7.com"] An 81-year-old woman accused of murdering her granddaughter's ex-husband, who she believed to be a pedophile, was denied bail Tuesday as a judge postponed her arraignment until next month.

Jeane Ellen Allen was contention that Reyes had molested his 18-month-old son, calling it a "self-serving statement." Allen's attorney, was not present in court, but he told the Orange County Register that Allen had a responsibility to protect the child. "What would you do if you thought a child was going to be molested?" he asked. "What would anyone do?

Cradle 2 the Grave

The soul in Islam is the ethereal substance — spirit (Hebrew:rooah or nefesh) — particular to a unique living being. The soul is both immortal and innately aware of its immortal nature, as well as the true basis for sentience in each living being.

According to the Qur'an of Islam (15:29), the creation of man involves Allah "breathing" a soul into him. This intangible part of an individual's existence is "pure" at birth and has the potential of growing and achieving nearness to God if the person leads a righteous life.

Women resist Honour Marriages

[quote="BBC NEWS"]Five women from the same family in Pakistan's Punjab province have refused to be "united" with their prospective husbands as ordered by tribal elders.

The village council has told them to "honour" 1996 childhood marriages, when the youngest of them was just five.

Elders ordered the marriages to resolve a feud between the girls' family and a rival one - a practice now outlawed.

The refusal to marry has renewed tensions, leading to a shooting incident and arrests on both sides.

The row between the families began in 1991 when a relative of the girls killed an

Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World

A film about how the US Government assigns comedian Albert Brooks to find out what makes the Muslim People laugh in an attempt to better understand them.

Which raises an interesting point my brother pointed out; why are all molvi's always so serious? We have no comedy to speak of. I dont know how true that is, but off hand i cant name a Muslim Comedian. But i dont necessarily believe or wish to believe that its possible to be religious and have a decent sense of humour.

But if i think about it, i cant also name any occurance or mention of comedy in regads to Islam...

Is Santa Clause Coming to Town?

During the Christmas season, Christians all over the country illuminate their houses with lights, put up Christmas trees, and exchange gifts. TV is full of jingle bells and all the stores are decorated for Christmas. All this is very tempting to small children; children love putting up lights and decorating for holidays.

Some Muslim families also put up Christmas trees and lights to keep their kids happy.

The Saddam Hussein Trial

[quote]
The trial of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein for crimes against humanity has begun in Baghdad.

He made an outspoken attack on the judicial process and refused to answer questions.

Here are excerpts from the interchange between Saddam Hussein and chief judge Rizgar Mohammed Amin:

Saddam:

Those who fought in God's cause will be victorious... I am at the mercy of God, the most powerful.

Judge Amin:

Mr Saddam, please tell us your identity, your name.... You have enough time, you will have enough time to say whatever you like and to express your thoughts.
