I think its interesting reading and something people should be familiar with and thats the history of Islam and some of the major events that took place through out Islamic history.
I'll begin with something thats been on my mind for that few days 'The Origins of the Sunni/Shia split' i've very sketchy on exactly what happened during the time period after the death of the prophet(pbuh) so bear with me.

I am a fundamentalist Muslim who, by the grace of Allah(swt), knows, follows and strives to practise the fundamentals of Islam.
A true Muslim does not shy away from being a fundamentalist. I am proud to be a fundamentalist Muslim because, I know that the fundamentals of Islam are beneficial to humanity and the whole world. Many people have misconceptions about Islam and consider several teachings of Islam to be unfair or improper.
The era of the technological age is upon us. We communicate in seconds with e-mails and fax's. Information of every type is accessible to anyone with a modem from what was originally intended to be a government network for research projects, now called the Internet. The average person is able to create, advertise and publish easily for an audience of millions on the World Wide Web.
The philosophy of the Internet comes from its originators; laid back computer programmers, information and technology addicts. They wanted to create something special.
Why is it, that among the young (us) and the older generations (our parents) there is a huge difference?
For example, belief system. Both are Muslim, both originate from the same place, yet the young and the old act differently to any given situation.
Why is it, that our interpretation of what is correct etiquette and their interpretation is two different things? I like to believe that my morals and beliefs are that of Islamic morals and beliefs with everything else being irrelevant.
Now you had to say that, didnt you. It seems to be increasingly true that cops and asians just dont mix. Asians seem to know the law inside out so we cant say stuff like:
"Im sorry officer i didnt know i couldnt do that"
Nope... even b4 we're about to do something wrong another asian will jump outta no'where and say "Noooo dont do that bro, thats 5-10!" yep we know the law as well as the penalty and cops know that we know the law. Heck we could all be paralegals.
But we'd never call the cops coz we're afraid of them... nothings wrong with that but its true.

Dreams are broken into three parts according to the Sunnah:
Ru'yaa - good visions (dreams)
Hulum - bad dreams
Dreams from one's self
Abu Hurayrah narrated Muhammad (S) said, "There are three types of dreams: a righteous dream which is glad tidings from Allah, the dream which causes sadness is from Shaitan, and a dream from the ramblings of the mind."
The prophet (pbuh) also said we should disclose good and true dreams to the people we like, however advised against disclosing bad dreams to anyone.

The above is mentioned in the Quran. So WHY i ask you do muslims date?
Why do muslim brother and sisters take part in dating? When its clearly said to be haraam?
Some where along the line the generations view had suddenly changed and what was once forbidden in Islam is slowly becoming more acceptable?? Why?
What was there some sort of devine intervention or something that i missed?
