Sympathy For the Devil?

Was having a debate the other day with a guy who claimed that the devil wass not actually evil. What was his crime? Disobeyed God and refused to prostrate before Adam (as)... bcoz he valued God more??

So isnt he just a glorified Jail Warden now? That he ensures whats evil stays in hell. But does that make him evil? Is he even that?
And the truth, that the devil isnt really evil, but people are evil.

One thing is for sure... the devil does not wear prada.

your thoughts?

The Spy Who Knew Too Much

Would you say its generally wrong to spy on people? (assuming its not your job or anything)

Just coz your a busy-body and want to know stuff. So things like eaves-dropping, going through their stuff etc.

What if they're family? Does that make a difference?

Does it matter if they've given you reason to be suspicious or otherwise?

Send in the Clones

What do you think about Cloning humans? Ethical? Not ethical?

Would they really be people? Do they have a soul if they're created in a lab?

Is that playing God? Or simply Science confirming Gods work?

What about making clones just so we can harvest their organs?

Share you're thoughts.

The Needs of the Many

"The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few."

How many of you would agree with that logic?
In theory it seems to make sense, but in practice.

Does it seem worth it? Kill 1 person to save billions? Can we really do that? Starve 1 person to feed 5. Logically that makes sense, the survival of the others depends on one of them to die.

Lets make it even simpler. Could you sacrifice yourself to save others... or even your own happiness for the sake of others? Should we even have to?

Hustle, Loyalty and Respect.

Survey reveals Muslim attitudes
European Muslims have much more loyalty to the countries they live in than is generally believed, a survey says.

The report by Gallup and the Coexist Foundation says 77% of British Muslims identified with the UK, compared with 50% of the general public.

There was a similar finding in Germany, the survey says.

The authors say their report counters a commonly-held view that measures to combat Islamic militancy may have alienated many European Muslims.

"This research shows that many of the assumptions about Muslims and integration are wide of the mark," said Dalia Mogahed of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies and co-author of the report.

Differential Diagnosis [GAME]

This is a lil game me and some friends play, based on the TV Show 'House'. Especially when someone falls ill.
You basically list the patients symptoms and then try to come up with whats wrong with them and possible courses of treatment.
NOTE: NON OF US ARE DOCTORS SO ITS JUST FOR FUN. All my opinions are based on experience, an A-Level in
Biology and ofcourse Google.
Bonus points for anyone who comes out with a House-ism Smile

So grab your bottles of vicodin and lets go to the board:

Maternal Capacity

There used to be a couple of parents on here (not so many anymore), but maybe you've got experiences i dunno.

Whats your experience of babys or kids in general?

Any tricks you find that work? i.e. to get them to stop crying.

What do you think they should be tought... and at what age?

No fate, but what we make.

If there was such a thing as fate or destiny. And through some random happen-stance you had the opportunity to know your future. What would happen, how your life will be like etc.

Would you:

a) like to know what the future has install for you?

or

b) Would you reject the opportunity and just have life unfold by itself.

and most importantly why?

PLUS IS THERE ANY SUCH THING AS FATE?...IN YOUR OPINION.
