Yeah, my mum loves making us food, she get really annoyed when I used to open it at the mosque. They don't make women like they used too, all of a sudden it become a big deal too make a fuss over the family and old fashion.

oh how true

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

…mums are soft and considerate by nature. Is it wrong to give them a hand sometimes though?

I too have an issue with the mum being in the kitchen whilst the rest of the family is waiting to be served.

Just because they say that they don’t mind, I’m sure we won’t lose anything if we made life a bit easier for them.

true, and im sure most of us here help out where and when we can

but just coz our mums do most of the cooking, why do you all assume we guys sit around jus waiting to be served shouting "OG!" like cavemen!!

of course we help out, but then again were not always around the house....and women generally are

and if it pleases my mum, cant see wats wrong with it. they dont like us in the kitchen too much anyway!

My mum don't like it if her daughters help out either.

That doesnt mean we take a back seat. Mums say "No, it doesnt matter I'll do it" out of love....

We shouldnt take this literally.

diff with us lot

were expected to put the dishes and drinks out.....and clear up.....and when my mum aint well, do the dishes. But sis takes over when that happens

In my house my brother is "expected" to pull his weight. The girls are not.

But the girls do anyway...cos mum needs help.

My brother needs to be told what to do, whilst the girls automatically help out.

Nothong to forgive for Sister

i understand tho, not all families are run evenly
