When you think its just too much for you...

  • When you are hurt by the people who share blood relations with you, recall Yusuf [alayhi salaam] who was also betrayed by his brothers.
  • When you find your parents opposing you (in deen) recall Ibraheem [alayhi salaam] who was made to jump into a blazing fire by his father.
  • When you are mocked and abused by your own relatives just because you adopted deen over duniya, recall Rasul Allah [sallalhu alaihi wa sallam] who faced the same.
  • When you are stuck into some problem and find no way out recall Yunus [alayhi salaam] who was stuck inside the belly of a whale.

    My Sixth Form Dress Code

In life, you have a variety of stages and different expectations and i think you should be able to adapt to new environments. For me, one big change in my life, will be the sixth form that i'll be studying my A-Levels at. Most of you have already passed this stage or are leaving this stage. For some of you it may have been the most grilling and stressful time of your life and for others it could have been the best time of your life, for whatever reasons, whether that means making life long friends, simply enjoying the college or sixth form that you studied at or knowing that these two years set the foundations for what you want to achieve in life.

    The fabric that shows identity!

The Hijab is a BIG part of 'my' identity. It makes me who i am today and i feel proud and confident wearing one! For some, even the Niqab is a part of a womans identity and to some extent, shows piety and the personal sacrifices a person makes to ultimately please Allah and avoid showing their beauty and adornment in public.

Now, when a woman decides to wear one, it's her choice, and i believe that she has every right to wear one, and it should not be forced upon her, but she should wear it, out of her own choice. I dislike the idea that some countries decide to ban the Niqab or the Burkha. I feel everyone should be able to dress in a way that pleases them and they should not feel like society will deprive them from certain things, by wearing one!

The vehicle that never runs out of Ice Cream! + Nutella Chocolate Spread is NOT Haraam!

When the suns shining and the kids are all out to play, you'll never miss the jingle of the one vehicle that never runs out of Ice Cream. As a kid, you generally keep spare change in your pocket or you run to your mums handbag and dig out a pound or two. Then, as you grow up, you never seem to loose this fantasy and you begin to realise that the taste of the ice lollies and ice creams from the ice cream van are much better than the ones you keep in your kitchen freezer! They just don't taste the same at all! The jingle just calls your entire street and tempts you, regardless of how old you are and what you were doing at the moment.

    My visit to Twycross Zoo

Originally i had planned to go to a friends wedding, but my plans for the day, ended up being a fail.

Instead we decided to go to Twycross Zoo! The trip itself was an amazing day out as a family, and i was surprised by the amount of people who visit the zoo even when it's not extremely sunny. It was a little rainy, but when your enjoying yourself, you don't really take much notice of it. So the most obvious thing to do when you visit a zoo, is to look around at the animals. I saw many, from the lazy tortoises to the sick-looking camels, and the brightly coloued flamingo's to the very playful monkeys.

    The Diamond Jubilee Weekend!

So the whole country is hyped up about the Queens Diamond Jubilee, yet some of us are simply sitting at home, doing absolutely nothing (like me!) Have you done anything patriotic towards the country you live in? Have you held a street celebration party with family and friends? Have you let a flag fly out your window with the permission of your mum? Have you joined a parade and sang the national anthem? Have you done anything at all? Theres even a mosque in Manchester that was covered in decorative lighting and flags, with a large banner congratulating the Queen! They're also giving a tour of the mosque, can you believe that? I just can't! Well if there's anything at all that you did, feel free to share it here!
