They haven't.

Its just an excuse to get away with things.

Or mental instability.

Get a shrink.

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.

The first thing you need to do is go see a doctor... im not kidding. In the majority of cases if they feel something is wrong with themself they interpretate this as being possessed by a jinn. After visiting a doctor im sure 99.5% of people will change their minds.

So firstly make sure its not an illness or anything of the sort, before resorting to exorisism.

However in the off chance that this is geniune the holy prophet (pbuh) did say that Jinns can see us while we cannot see them, and if you wish to seek refuge from them recite the words of surat Al-Falaq and surat An-Nas.

Generally, reciting the Quran and saying 'Bismillah' will keep the devil and his minions away. Stay strong in your faith brother and you shall conquor any evil in your path.

Jinn possesion is true.

It may be that the person is suffering from a medical illness in which case the doctor should be contacted. It is also possible that it is indeed a demon possession in which case the islamic excorsist -AMIL - should be consulted.

There are true exorcists in UK but tread VERY VERY CAREFULLY. There are also a whole bunch of imposters who are in for money making or worse abusing women who come for exorcism and these cases are known.

The true amil will inshaALLAH by the grace of ALLAH Almighty strike the demon out of the person and grant him a cure. It should also be noted that a type of epilepsy is demon possesion. The jinn may invade the host for a number of reasons including perserved attack by the host, or even attraction to the host and these cases are also well known.

Basically these cases do exist, even I know of people who have had such experiences and even some people who held power over jinn.

Whilst i dont regard jin possesion as untrue, a lot of people jump to the conclusion too easily

cover all grounds before you can clarify its a jin. ensure its not mental problem or illness or whatever.

See a learned scholar regarding it as well

oh and dont go to them churches in london.....where they literally beat up the kids to a pulp because they think they are possessed by demons

very strange things have happened to me over the past few years, such as feeling pains in salaat, (only in salaat)
i dont kno what to do, i can only make dua that allah gives me the strength to endure this punishment

Anyone reminded of Proffessor Saab's words at Al-Hidayah? The bit about how people will cry jinn possession/black magick at every little mishap?

While they are both possible and the latter less rare than the former, Proffessor Saab said rather than going to the 'proffesionals' i.e. muslim exorcists and selling your deen, instead go to some Holy/pious person who can Insha Allah dispel any such problem with Dham. Such is Allah SWT love for the pious.

Muhtarama it is established that the Ambiya alayhim us salaatu was salaam suffer the most in this world followed by the people according to their level of piety so take this illness as a good sign.

I heard that ALLAH drowns his chosen servants in this world in sorrow and difficulty so that when they reach ALLAH they have an immense reward due to their ever gratefulness and patience to ALLAH.

Its not a blessing per se.

It is a test.

everyone is tested in life.

It can be a blessing.

I think whoever we are talkin bout is depressed!! The best thing to do is see what the lifestlyle of the person is i.e. family probs. cuz like shyakh ul islam said ppl just say that they are possessed by a jinn, a situation has to be properly analysed before one can say that so and so is possessed. Also getin possessed is very very rare!

Last thing, to protect yourself from all evil read durood sharif, ayatul kursi and the four kuls, problems solved, no more possessions or rather so-called possessions!

As much as i think that medical resons should be sought after, we must understand the world of the jinn and that possesion can be perfectly plausable.

Although it is haram for a jinn to posses a human and it is punishable by Allah there are a number of jinn that will do so and the remdies to rid this possesion have been described here. - also have surat al baqara reciting in a house which should eradicate evil.

A clever mind can entertain a thought without accepting it

talking of surah bakarah i heard it is very very benefical to learn of the last 3 ayats from amanar rasoolu till the end

What is the Seal of Solomon?

Seal of Solomon comes from the legend of King Soloman who was supposed to possess a magical signet ring which gave him the power to command demons or jinns aswell the ability to speak to animals.

In some versions of the story, the ring was made of brass and iron, carved with the Name of God, and set with four jewels. In later versions the ring simply bore the symbol now called the Star of David.

Wether the ring exists or not is anyones guess.
Hope that answers your question.

Interesting!

Heard it referred to in an old janisary poem.

I didn't know muslims did exorcisms

Thats not what i said Dave.

I was simply answering your question on a general level.

In terms of exorcism, like i said in an earlier post; we believe it to be rare where mostly the persons just psychologically disterbed, but in the off case that it is possession (i believe theres a few tests to be carried out first to prove its a geniune possession) then in that case certain prayers are recited to banish the demon/jinn from our plane of existance.

If your're interested in such symbols i believe the seal either originated from the alchemy symbol for the red king or was atleast based on it.

Yeah I actually heard that there a practice of beating the person who believe thy have Jinn inside them. I also hear that in case a family did it too such a extent taht the person died and they were chrged with manslaughter. But saying that, I have seen people will jinn inside them cured after a visit from a shaykh or imaam, so it shouldn't be riduculed as Allah swt know best.

"A true Muslim is thankful to Allah in prosperity, and resigned to His will in adversity."

Yes I have also heard about beatings being given to the possessed but I heard that the beating doesnt hurt or harm the actual person but rather is felt by the jinn. To be honest I do not know much about this topic. Suffice to say that possession is true, exorcism is true and it happens.
