Setting my priorities straight.

this is mostly about morning and evening dhikr..well i think it is. might evolve into something else by the time i finish writing this.

so basically. I've alhamdoulillah managed to attend an intenside Quran class and its had an impact on me and for that i am SO GRATEFUL TO Allah coz imagine if approximately 28hrs of talking of the Quran hadnt affected me?!

anyway. Ive been feeling like its a duty and a must and a chore for me to do my morning and evening dhikr. the thought of having to do it EVERYDAY, TWICE A DAY  for the REST of my LIFE felt like... a burden. lets be honest.

and no one will force themselves to do something they find burdensome so dhikr kinda...scattered... and wasnt at a tolerable standard at all.

Intro 2 - Knowledge precedes speech and action. And 3 things all muslims should learn and practise

Ash-Shaafi’ee, may Allaah have mercy on him, said: “Had Allaah not sent down aproof to His creation other than this surah (chapter), it would have been sufficient for them.”Al-Bukhaaree, may Allaah have mercy on him, said: “Chapter: Knowledge comesbefore speech and action.”The proof for this is Allaah’s saying:

So know that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah, and seekforgiveness for your sins.”

[Surah Muhammad: 19] So He began by mentioningknowledge before speech and action.

Today, i bought free range eggs

and so i decided to learn to make eggless cake and to generally be more careful with my usage of eggs.

coz free range isnt cheap.

but it isnt about the price. its abt the fact that because eggs became so cheap (with disastrous consequences and effects) we have become ungrateful of eggs and use too much (bit like milk but thats another story coz im addicted to milk) and dont even think about our consumption.

the person in the yellow raincoat

today i met an amazing person. he wasnt quite a man, nor quite a boy. hr talked and talked and talked; everytime warming our hearts and defrosting our smiles. he makes the best train driver expressions and kept the carriage inforn on what the next station would be in the best manner. at first i thought he might get annoyed or angry if contradicted or not given the answers he'd like; but thinking abt it now, i dnt think he would have. he just ignores it and moves on. life is too short to.dwell on details. with his yellow raincoat and his amazing character i hope he makes a lot of people happy today and has a great time on his trip. and i.hope he makes it back in time home so he doesnt get in trouble. oh and i hope his brother's leg get bettrr soon

i dont ever want to become an adult.

well..during exam time, as is always common, all sorts of project and ideas flow to you; only to be restrained (sometimes) by your duty to exams. and for some, this is where it stops. "i must revise, so i must stop thinking abt all those projects and ideas, i'll do them after exam" even though..more often then not, those projects are as if magically wiped from our memory the momemnt we become free.

for me though, this is not where it stops; stubborn as i am (and please God, never take this away from me) i will keep on the thinking. i must stop thinking abt this because of exams, and then... why do i need to pass those exams?

when do you have to pay tax?

im really confused. if i get a summer job. do i have to register or something? what abt if i tutor kids? is there a minimum i need to start earnign before i start paying or do i not pay coz im in full time education but now that ive finished what happens? do i still count as full time education coz im still waiting for my results?

stress toothpaste and camomile

what do you do to calm down when you're stressed or when you're feeling down/like everything's getting too much?

when im at home, i like to brush my teeth when i feel like that.

how often do you feel like that? once a week? once a month? once a year? everyday?

how  come i need to have an infusion of camomile (amongst other plants) to calm down but the rest of the world (most of it) dont need to?
