Mums & The Cake Factor (part 1)

I reeeeealllly love my mum. And i have soooo much respect for her when I think about how much of a NIGHTMARE i was when i was little. The one incident that comes to mind is my big sisters birthday. She'd just turned 19 and my mum had baked her a GORGEOUS cake with thick pink icing which was slathered ontop and a cute horse made out of marshmallows and toothpicks ontop! To an eight year old, it was a thing of wonder... half toy and half cake!!! Ooooooooh the glorious possibilities!!!! Biggrin

But my mum knew that it was extremely important to keep the cake away from me because she knew that if I was allowed even a tiny amount of sugar, not only would I become a hyperactive sugar monster, but the entire scope of my existence would funnel down to the singular goal of obtaining and eatting more sugar. My need for sugar would become so massive, that it would collapse in upon itself and create a vacuum into which even more sugar would be drawn until all the world had been stripped of all sweetness.

Yes i had pig tails when i was little lol

So when i managed to climb onto the counter and grab a handful of cake while my mum wasnt looking an irreversible chain reaction was set into motion. That would lead to only one thing...

I had tasted cake and there was no going back. My tiny body had morphed into a writhing mass of pure sugar obsessed monstrosity encased in a thick layer of desperation. I would eat all of the cake or I would evaporate from the sheer over-loading power of my desire to eat it!!

Mum had prepared the cake earlier in the day so she could get it out of the way. She thought she was being efficient, but really she had just ensured that she'd be forced to spend the whole day protecting it from my all-encompassing sugar covered lil hands and my unyeilding desire to eat it!! So i followed her around waiting for her to set it down and then it would be MIIIIINE!

Mum would soon tire of trying to keep it out of my reach and when she put it down. It was gonna be all mine Biggrin

Not all of us are on facebook. Just linking there would be ok, but posting here.

Would you want any extra facilities for storyboarding/comics on this site? (somewhere where you can add more than one image and then people can "flick through" thepages)

Not saying such a thing will exist. Just tantalising people with the possibilities.
