Why do you not pray?

Why do you not pray?

Oh my brother and sister, why do you not pray?

Why do you not pray when Allah has created you and has given you everything? And all he asks of you in return is a few minutes of each day and you cannot even give him that?

Why do you not pray when he could have made you a non believer yet he chose you and gave you imaan(faith)?

Why do you not pray when it is the very purpose of your life and creation?

Why do you not pray when the prayer is so important that Almighty Allah had to call the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) to himself, through the 7 heavens to his throne, in order to give the Ummah of Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) the prayer?

The Dates for the 9th &10th of Muharram

The Dates for the 9th & 10th of Muharram 2013

The 9th of Muharram is on Wednesday 13th November

The 10th of Muharram (Day of Ashura) is on Thursday 14th Nov.

The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said regarding the day of Ashura:

"It is a great day when Allah saved Musa (As) & his people & drowned Pharaoh & his people".(Muslim)

The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) also said: "Fasting on it expiates the previous year of sins." (Muslim)

Fast the Day of Arafaat on Monday 14th October 2013

Fast the Blessed Day of Arafaat is on Monday (14th October 2013)

Fasting on the day of Arafaat is a great Sunnah and most rewarding. It is an expiation of 2 years of sins:

Abu Qatada (Ra) related that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “Fasting the Day of `Arafah (9th of Dhu’l Hijjah) expiates for two years, one prior and one forthcoming. And fasting the Day of `Ashura (10th of Muharram) expiates for the past year.” [Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, and Ibn Majah]

Subhanallah how merciful and generous is Allah. Therefore we should take advantage of this blessed day and keep this fast.

Also recite plenty of the following:

a) Say tahlil:

La ilaha illah Allah

The best of Days - Oct 06 - Oct 15th

"So say tahlil takbir& tahmid a lot [on those days]."

[Reported by Ahmad, 7/224; Ahmad Shakir stated it is saheeh]

a) Say tahlil
La ilaha illah Allah
b) Takbir
Allahu akbar
c) Tahmid
Alhamdu lillah
d) Tasbeeh
Subhan Allah

(note this is one of them)
Allaahu Akbar

(Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, there is no god except Allaah, Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, and all praise be to Allaah).

Fasting 6 days of Shawwal : The Reward of an entire year of fasting

Fasting 6 days of Shawwal : The Reward of an entire year of fasting:

The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan and then follows it with six days of fasting in the month of Shawwal, it will be as if he had fasted a whole year." [Sahîh Muslim (1163)]

Subhaanallah! How generous is Allah who loves to give to his slaves!

Do not miss out on such easy abundant rewards

We may not get such an opportunity again so we should not delay in doing good deeds lest we are taken by Death and our good deed accounts get closed forever. So the opportunity to do good is NOW as we may not have a tomorrow.

Want a House in the Highest part of Paradise?

Want a House in the Highest Part of Paradise?

The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, “I guarantee a house in Jannah (Paradise) for one who gives up arguing, even if he is in the right; and I guarantee a house in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even when joking / for the sake of fun; and I guarantee a house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners.” [narrated by Abu Dawud]

Subhanallah! Look at how Almighty Allah rewards us for being patient when interacting with others. So every time someone mocks us, tries to argue or fight with us or we avoid an argument even if we are in the right just for the pleasure of Allah then we are guaranteed a house in Paradise.

Questions we must all ask ourselves!

Why is it that we know the purpose of our life yet we are not fulling the purpose of our creation?

Why is it that we know we could die at any second yet we are not preparing for our imminent death?

Why is it that we know our life is short & temporary & that the Hereafter is for eternity yet we continue to invest everything into our short temporary life which can end at any second but neglect the Hereafter which will last forever?

These are questions we must keep asking ourselves because we have become truly deluded chasing a path that leads to a dead end rather than a path that will lead to eternal success

Giving just £10 to charity during Laylatul Qadr equals £30,000!

Giving just £10 to charity during Laylatul Qadr equals £30,000!

The Night of Power is better than a 1000 months, which is over 83 years. Therefore any act of worship during this night is rewarded to worship equal to over 83 years. Subhanallah!

This applies to prayers, Qur'an recitation, Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah) and giving to charity and so on.
Giving to charity during the Night of Power (Laylat-ul-Qadr) for example is equal to an act of giving to charity for a 1000 months = 83.33 years x 365 days = over 30,415 days.

Therefore giving just £10 to charity during such a night is equal to £300,000!

£100 given to charity is equal to £3,000,000!

£1000 given to charity is equal to £30,000,000 and so on.

Worship Plan to Maximise the Last 10 Nights of Ramadan!

Worship Plan to Maximise the Last 10 Nights of Ramadan!

Almighty Allah says in the Quran: {Laylat al-Qadr is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with every decree. (This night is) peace, until the rising of the dawn.} (Al-Qadr 97: 3-5)

This blessed night can be found in any of the last 10 nights of Ramadan which are the most blessed nights of the year & therefore we should increase our Worship & Devotion in them:

Aisha (Ra) reported: With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to tighten his waist belt (i.e. work harder) and used to pray the whole night, & used to keep his family awake for the prayers. (Bukhari)
