The Brokeback Mountain Culture - From Sin, to Culture

LOL, thought it would b a funny name to discuss the topic...

Today, i met ma cuzn, n his mates. His friends, one was a very liberal Muslim, one a non-muslim. We sat at ma cuznbs house n ma czn goes to get sumin from the shop.

So its me n ma cuzns mate. N sumhow, the conversation turns into "wat u think of gay people".

The non-muslim has a gay cousin, n thinks its the 21st century n it should b allowed, u shudnt look down upon it. he asks my view, n i smile n tell him im a muslim, n my religion dictates my life, n I explain in detail, how n why gayness is not allowed. I could hav jus told him my feelings, n how sick it makes me, n how i make fun of gay's etc, altho i kno i shudnt, but i felt like giving a proper answer..

Noor or Bashar

Salaam,

Last week in university, i was sitting in a study area, doing my work, across from me was a group of girls, all of them were of Asian or Middle-Eastern backgrounds, a few wearing hijab I think, i didnt pay too much attention to them. They were speakin very loudly, and i shushed them a few times, but girls being girls, they payed no mind to me, so I gave up.

Im tryna do my work, but they jus too loud, i cant help but hear there conversation.

H.T. and other loony toons...

So, i was reading the shabina begum thread, the young muslim female who would like to wear the jilbaab was it? in school n she took the school to court etc, you all kno the case, anyhow...

Some points were raised about Hizb ut Tehrir, and i got to thinking (its always trouble when I think) what exactly is hibz ut tehrir all about. The media likes me to think they are terrorist supporters, like al mahajiroon who i think are a split offa HT. I kno a crazy guy who is a part of HT, he's become crazy now that he's with HT, he wasnt crazy before.

The HT, what do i know about them?

Well, they want a khilafah somewher, n they think they can get sunni's n shias living together (yeh right, dream on fools).

Stories of Saints

[color=red]

This is a thread where people can write about Great Saints/Sufi's/Awliya's of the past and present day. There are many fasinating stories i often hear from people, and im sure people have some stories to share, so please, dnt be shy.

Ive been particularly fasinated by certain saints from the India/Pakistan region.

For example, In Lahore we have a Darbar of the Great Datta Ali Hujveri R.A.

And from Jamear sharif (city i think) there was the Great Khwaja MoinUddin Chisti R.A, who throughout their Life converted 900,000 people to Islam.

Male species n hats (topi)

salaam.

hope this meets u in good health.

I hav a lil predicament. Ive alwayz wore a hat when praying Salah (namaaz) n reading quran. i always saw it as a sign of respect.

But, ive seen many guys not wearing a hat while praying.

my question is this, why do guys wear a hat?
Is it a must? If so do u make sure that u cover the front hair on your forehead?

Ladies, do u feel guys should wear a hat? Do your brother's wear a hat?
