Longsight n whalley range arent too far apart, if u hav relatives with a car they can always giv a lift, or the bus would hav u there in under 20 mins i think

I use the journey planner every morning-its so crap...it always for some reason shows me the longest possible route to get from A-B...

AA is the best way to get your route, it tells ur from street to street and the exact time you reach your desired destination!

One of the sisters was talkin bout MICS, and a lot of excellant subjects will be taught such as Arabic, Hadith, Fiqh, Aqaid, Islamic history and so on. Also they will be taught by Shaykh-ul-Islam's direct students; Alama Ramzan Qadri and Alama Sohail Sadiqi (i think thats his name  )

i believe congrats are in order, apparently your sisters talk was "really, really good".

i'll pass the congrats on....all the sisters done excellant talks (that is no exageration):

Hayder sis done it on the importance of joinin a jam'ah, it was excellant.

Then Saadia from this forum done one on relationships with non-mahrams and bout marriage again very good.

Then another sis from nelson done on the female personalities in Islam which inc. Hazrath Aisha (ra), Hazrath Fatima-tul-zahara and Hazrath Asma Bin Abu bakr (ra), it was so emotional and it just makes you think we are so blessed to have personalites as such that are worthy and more of being great role models!

Then Asiyah from the forum done it a short talk on hijab plus she was the stage secretary (she done an excellant job)

Then sis done it on Dawah being compulsory on women and the techniques for inviting people to Islam, how the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) conduct was always very soft and not harsh.

If i have missed out anyone forgive me, cuz i slept at 4am (uni work  ) so less than 4 hrs sleep aint feelin to great!

Lastly and most importantly just like to thank Asiyah for everythin and all those who organised alongisde it truly was a great conference and may Allah reward you guys for your sincere efforts. Ameen.

wow-so many young, intellegent women speakers

thats kind of stuff makes me very happy

Sorry i took so long posting in this thread to leave feedback, I jus got over how good Mics really was.

Anybody who wasnt there really missed out on a wonderful weekend full of learning, praying (Dhikr) and socialising with a great bunch of people.

I went into the weekend, thinking to myself, lets not be over-expectant, I thought it would have terrible organisation like many such events.

Come friday, i arrived on time, at 6.30, n registration was supposed to be at 7.30. But instead it start an hour late, i thought, here we go. This is gna b unorganised.

But, when we met the Shaykhs who would be teaching us, and got to know some of the other students there, I felt at home and confortable.

Every night and every morning we had a Dhikr Mehfil, which was really good. And every morning we woke up for Tahajjud.

The Shaykhs are very good teachers, and besides being good teachers, they have excellent characters, and everybody in the class im sure feels confortable asking them questions. They joke about with us and everything.

I was only there for 2 nights , about 40 hours to be precise, in which Ive made some new friends, and have learned a lot, and I have a new outlook on life beleive it or not, my aims are more defined now then they were before.

And as the binge smoker said in the post above me, Nobody felt like going home afterwards.

When i was there, i felt a sense of peace and calm, that i have only ever felt when i was in Madinah-tun-nabi.
