the point of this thread - can anyone please explain the method of Istikhara? and when it should be done? and why it is done? also if you have anything useful to say regarding it

i only knew about Istikhara about a year ago, prior to that i'd never heard of it. ive been asked by a friend to perform it for them.....how tho is the question!! lol

also....can you perform it for other people? or are there certain grounds?

out of interest now......what kind of decisions can Istikhara be performed for?

Surprised no-one has done this already...

As the blessed month of Ramdan dawns upon us, how will this bear significance upon our lives?

What changes are we looking forward to implement personally?

Are we going to be one-month good muslims again?

What are we looking forward to the most in the great month where the devil is locked away?

For me personally, I look forward to using it as an opportunity to attain good manners and be nice to everyone (not that i aint....

today we got a new guy in the office, i was chuffed at 1st....finally another asian!

turns out hes an athiest now, once believed but then went away for uni and went crazy! spent all diner discussing Islam and his view that theres no logic to god and that hes got a million and one questions he wants 2 ask god. hes very unhappy with him Lol

tried discussing it with him, but he wants factual evidence in his face. i.e. an email from God or his actual presence.

Do you feel you are bieng victimised? no police support?

In the wake of the attacks, especially todays metro stating a rise of 600% in faith hate crimes........do you feel the effects?

personally, so far evrything has been ok with me. a few bus drivers giv me a long gud stare b4 letting me on the bus.....but im in a suit and tie with my buss pass....what on earth am i gonna do, already late 4 work, i havnt got time to blow buses up!

maybe its coz i dont hav a beard.
