There's 10 nominees, and 'Beloved Prophet Muhammad saw' is on the list! Results will be announced 2/02/2010. 'The declaration of results for Best of Men Vote has been rescheduled to 11/1/11 (11th Jan 2011), due to the overwhelming response from the people. We believe that the results would had been erroneous, had it been declared at a stage when there is still a high turnout.'

So please

Is it wrong of me to tell people to not vote?

I dislike such cynical sites and bandwaggons that are there to manipulate people's emotions.

The ONLY reason that site exists is to make money from the adverts shown on that page.

I see this as similar to those chain emails people grew out of a few years ago "send this blessed message onto a thousand friends and you will get a kabillion dollars. Don't and allah will curse you for all of eternity."

i'm getting sick of these text messages.

Just have a go at everyo0ne who tells you to vote. They will learn not to hound you again.

I don't see the problem. If he Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) wins the vote, or even comes quite high up in it, it might make people who visit the site think about Islam. Or it might not - but there's no harm in trying purely for the intention of da'wah.

Don't just do something! Stand there.

asalamualaykum
with al do respect but dont u think its highly superficial to ask people to vote for our prophet muhammmad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) peace be upon him. it almost feels like people are making a mockery of our prophet. Ofcourse our beloved prophet is loved by everyone;he preyed and cried for his ummah (us), he delivered the final testament to mankind is it even a question to ask??????. U should ask urself that does islam preach competition??/ NO!!!I find it really hollow and wounding that a site dedicated to islam would allow such a vote it is really sad that people fail to understand that love for islam and prophet comes from the heart but not from some online vote. It really dont make any difference on how many votes are gathered what matters is how many times we remeber our prohet. if you really want people to recall upon our prophet the best time is after each salah send our prophet muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) peace be upon him ur greeetings through reciting allahuma salli alha, spread and share his wonderful stories, tell his prophecy to those who are not aware or non- muslims so they have the opportunity to attain the insight of our religion Islam

p.s im truly sorry if my words have offended anybody but i just purely bellieve any type of voting is wrong

competition in good things is okay.

and as you have seen; most people on revival feel that this voting thing wasnt that big a deal either. so dont worry yourself too much about it..

what you said about how we should talk about the prophet (pbuh), i like that, that was great!

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
