Beautiful Muslim Buildings

I heard there's a place called The Alhambra Palace, and another place called The Cordoba Mosque. Both are architectural gems that can found Spain.

Spain - ruled my Muslims for a good number of years. There are other improvements to the way of life for the people of that region that were made by the Muslim rulers. The Mosque and Palace was not their only contributions.

I hear they greatly improved the education and infrastructure of this place.

The Public Bath House was another of the great works of these Muslim rulers. I hear some of these bath houses have been restored to their former glory and are being used for the purpose they were created even today.

Aside from Spain, there are so many other beautifil Mosques and Palaces that were put in place by Muslims. The Mosque in Thailands Wan Man island and the Blue Mosque in Turkey just to mention a couple.

I was having a discussion about these Muslim beauties with a friend of mine (yes, I do have friends in real life too)

I was trying to convince him that we should go and visit these important historic places. Unlike me, he didn't seem too excited at the proposition. Maybe he doesn't have the money to travel, I recall thinking to myself so didn't want to push it too much.

But I did had to ask at least once. "why are you so against the idea Abdul?"

"Well" he began "I personally think that the over attachment to material things such as beautiful buildings and gardens and such like is what was the biggest contributing factor to the downfall of the Islamis Empire"

I really wanted to challenge him on this and point out the things that actually threw the Muslims out of power, but I wanted to ponder his thought before I replied. The more I thought about what he said, the more I agreed with him.

Going to see them is hardly being attached to them

I think he was talking more about the guys who bilt them. They were more concerned in making such a beatiful dunya that they lost sight of the real goals and were driven out as a result.

Maybe I should arrange an interview with him so he can explain himself?

Or get him to sign up to The Revival, then you can grill him directly?

Wink

I don't understand how that can be used as a reason not to visit them.

I think it might be something like "that's what dragged us down from the top, so althought there's no denying that they are soooo awesome, it's just too painful to see them in the flesh"

Well, i learnt this in my evening class yesterday, and it goes well with this topic:

'Indeed, one of the signs of the Final Hour is that people will compete (by priding themselves) in (the grand construction of) mosques' (Abu Dawud)

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
