Which is why i have a sudden urge to do something as totally useless as make a random blog on TheRevival about Nothing much in particular xD
First off, i would like to ask why people think Miley Cyrus can sing.
I mean call me uncultured or whatever, but it sounds like nasally tuneless warbling to me o.0
And yet, she's one of the richest people in the World at the moment :/
Honestly, if ever there was a need to sum up the state of humanity at the moment, just use Miley Cyrus's success.
It is now 11:41 and my mum just came in and said "Jeez, if you're gonna eat like a builder, at least chew with your mouth CLOSED" and i think THAT pretty much sums up OUR relationship.
Though i didn't know that what builders have for breakfast is a bowl of cheerios and orange juice o.0
11:43 and i'm wondering why, if God is a designer and created bodies all harmonious and functioning and stuff, why people get ill and get tumours and stuff.
11:44 and i remember, thinking of God philosophy, when someone asked in class "If you are obliged to share knowledge but you shouldn't tell people to do what you don't do, then what are you supposed to do?" and Teach was all "Good question, i don't know... humans aren't supposed to know everything"
But actually, i know i'm clueless and everything, but my not-very-scholarly opinion was that there WAS an answer to it and it was that "if you're gonna submit to islam, you submit wholly and so you would never have that problem... you WOULD be doing what you learnt you had to do so you could share that knowledge without being a hypocrite... and ANYWAY if you don't care about sinning when you don't do that thing you know you're supposed to do, why do you care about sinning either of those ways?"
But of course, i'm probably wrong. i'm sure if that was a possible answer, she would have said it. She is a muslim and everything... plus she knows lots of arabic words [thumbs_up]
Anyway, i doubt anyone's gonna read this so i might aswell just stop, mightn't i?
I just think that we need more real-wordy blogs. I like seeing blogs that are genuiney written because i actually WANT to read them rather than chunks of text and videos that i don't open coz i know they'll make me feel guilty.
So... write a blog ;]

2:20 - tv nothing good on

2:35 - writing and posting this (lol) and now thinking of starting some text book reading and breakfast

As for the question... there are ideals and then there is what a person is comfortable and willing to do. Yes, it can include what seems like and most probably is hypocrisy... but at the same time transferring knowledge is not always the same as "do as I say, not as I do".
(the teacher also has to teach from an RE perspective... and is also not necessarily a scholar or anything, so what she says/can say may also be influenced by the course as I am sure a large part of RE is teaching people to question things and to think instead of blindly following existing hegemony)

Avril Lavigne is better than Miley but she is pretty successful tho but i guess not as much as Miley.
She's on a kids show - I doubt her singing talent is of too much concern there. As long as she did not make the listeners ears bleed, I doubt much extra was required.
