What's the point of the Revival?

It seems like ever since that BBC thing everybody has been scrambling for more media exposure... and I am getting the distinct impression that the focus of the Revival is shifting from a site for the Muslim Youth primarily about religious issues, to a site about Political Issues that Muslims face... a sort of junior MPAC.

Anybody else noticed a shift?

we all know the story:

girl goes to college, given more freedom, maybe too much, she strts going off rails.

but how can you control this and stay within limits?

my cousin has just started college, and she is a stunning girl, recently ost a few stones and boosted her confidence. now lads are falling at her feet. and not in a good way.

we went to manchester on weekend and she was eyeing the boys up. in a restauarnt a guy followed my sis to toilet to try and get her to give my cousin his number. she told him to get lost of course.

her younger sister told us the cousin has a boyfriend at college, even though her family are thinking of getting her married to her cousin in pak.

I read an article in a mag on this topic yesterday

it was called how to be happy-

most of the suggested tips was stuff I do anyway e.g laugh, dont envy others, count ur blessings etc

Until a few years ago, I was a great believer in friendships, but I've recently discovered that people aren't always waht they appear.(no matter how long you have known them), and although Allah (swt) has said that one should not lead a suspicious life, I can't help but feel that the only person you can rely on in this life is yourself, for you are the only person you know truly well!!!!!
What's your take on this?

apologies for reviving an old topic, but i was wondering if the events of 7/7, the Birmingham riots and French riots have had much of an impact on British Muslims today.

Has it made you want to integrate more into british society?
