Yesterday I was watching the biggest Islamic event ever on the Islam channel and when Dr Zakir Naik was talking they switched the whole show off and put this stupid show on which had already been repeated many times…. So why did they cut the show off?
Yvonne Riley’s speech was impressive IMO. Nasheed Artists were not good IMO. Dawud blasphemous song about Muhammad was offensive. Imran Khan did a great speech to.
How many people went and why the hell did they cut the show off!?

In the Iraq topic, the Oil bit has been sidelined (for the right reasons).
It needs its own place to discuss.
As for oil - as far as I know we have not touched any.
Truancy Vs De-Schooling
Tony Blair’s crusade to raise education standards was dealt a triple blow with figures showing souring school truancy levels, a student drop-out rate of nearly 25% and a surprise fall in state schools entries to top universities. Truancy jumped by almost 10% last year to its highest level, despite almost £1 billion in government spending since 1997 to tackle the problem. Jacqui Smith, the School Standard Minister, announced a crack down on the “stubborn minority of 888 students at 146 schools who were responsible for a fifth of all truancy.

I have changed the banner above for the forums and the site.
It is now sharper, and it is smaller.
How does it look?
Is the size ok?
In California, Muslim-Owned Liquor Stores Become A Target
By Shahed Amanullah, December 1, 2005
On one side, Muslim immigrants say they're just trying to make a living. On the other, an African-American neighborhood struggles to rid itself of an abundance of liquor stores.
The issue of liquor stores in poor African-American neighborhoods such as those in Oakland, California has long been an issue of contention with urban activists.
first of all many months later wham we get a quote on the forum of Omrow saying certain distasteful things.
we also see the Latifah replies to him quite adequately
then at the time the editor also reprimands Omrow on his behaviour
then after both Latifah and Omrow's post everyone thats us totally ignore the incident
now many months later we suddenly notice the forgotten post and only now realise the urgency to bring Latifah back
i read and reread the whole affair and lilsis mentioned the above points in the london terror attacks
we dissmissed her by saying arent you bothered

Is it just me, or are these Islamic terms being misused?
I have noticed sometimes that if one says “Inshallah†which means “God willingâ€â€¦that really means that they have no intention of doing it (whatever it may be).
I mean, if I ask someone to do something or be somewhere and they say to me “Yeah, definitely!†I know they have every intention of doing it…but when certain people say to me “Inshallahâ€â€¦I take it as a “Noâ€â€¦.
I’ve come across many people who use the term “Inshallah†as a polite way of saying “No†to me. …what’s that all about?
