I am almost a gadget freak... I am too sensible with my money to go all the way...
But I waste alot of money on semi-luxuries... catch a taxi if i cannot be bothered with the bus... etc... I need to control that, and buy the gadgets...

As you said, you use it for quick calls. That is whenever you need to make them. You will rack up a bill by not using the minutes, but using outside allowance mins....
Go for something that is anytime.
Ufix £15.00 would normally be enough for you. you get 50 mins. that may not sound much, but on paygo, at 40p a min, 50 mins is £20.00.
With Ufix, you will not go over your linerental unless you top up, so you cannot carelessly rack up a bill when eg someone borrows it.
Or even better, the D750 is a good phone. keep it, and get a simonly.
£7.50 a month, and you are not tied into a contract. if you need a new phone later, you can scrap the simonly giving 30 days notice, and get a proper contract.
I have only mentioned T-mobile, as you are with them, and londoners for some reason like the network.
either way what ever you choose, you can always take your number with you. All you gotta get is a PAC (Port Authorisation Code) from the current provider, give it to the CS of new provider, and hey presto they will transfer your number over.

i got bored with p800 very soon, and the p900 and p910i were hardly different.
them and the motorolas really limit your capabilties
my xda2i has TomTom 5
d600 is same as d500.........and i jave a d500 and ive seen the d600
slightly diff button arrengement and bigger screen......2mp camera, besides that exact same!! i browsed thru both phone menus comparing them as well
