DIEGO Maradona is stepping up his campaign against the world's superpower with the news he wants to meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Maradona, an outspoken critic of George Bush, gave a signed shirt to an Iranian diplomat after a match in Buenos Aires on Saturday. The 47-year-old is an admirer of Cuban leader Fidel Castro and left-wing Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez "I've already met Fidel and Chavez, now I need to meet your president Ahmadinejad.

Dad charged in teen's death

A 16-year-old girl is dead and her father has been charged with murder after an attack in a Mississauga home.

Aqsa Parvez, a student at Applewood Heights Secondary School, had been on life support in hospital since yesterday morning.

Police went to the family's two-storey home on Longhorn Trail about 8 a.m. yesterday after receiving a 911 call in which a man allegedly claimed to have killed his daughter.

Paramedics found Aqsa with a faint pulse and rushed her to hospital.

One of the Salaf entered a field, hungry and tired, so he wanted to eat, and his stomach was 'rumbling'. He saw an apple tree, and picked an apple to eat. He ate half of it under the protection of Allah, then he drank from the river near the field. After that, he suddenly realised that he was not aware of what he did due to his hunger, and thought to himself: Woe to you! How can you eat someone else's provision without permission.

Keep your religion to yourself
That's what the Secularists say
Just fast and pray
And let everyone else do as they please

All this fitna and sin

not you
So why bother
Are we not Muslims?

The current UK visit of Abdullah ibn al-Saud has received much criticism from politicians and commentators, especially due to the "red carpet" treatment he has received from the government. This was epitomised by the praise he received from Foreign Office minister Kim Howells who flattered his guest by referring to the "shared values" between Britain and Saudi Arabia.
