The people on here seem...

too liberal
82% (62 votes)
too extreme
3% (2 votes)
normal
16% (12 votes)
Total votes: 76

I've picked 'Normal' but what i really mean is a bit of everything. These options are a little restricted. I think we have a whole range of personalities. Those that bash every word you say and who are too critical. Those that come here for a bit of advice. Those that write some pretty good things and want to share them. Those that allow everything and anything. Those that don't give a toss about anyone else. Lots of different sorts meh thinks.

It was restricted on purpose

"How many people find fault in what they're reading and the fault is in their own understanding" Al Mutanabbi

were young people looking for our path, we're not scholars so we might come across as "liberal". as long as no one forces anything on anyone tis fine. people need to explain themselves man..

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

what the heck?! 81 % of voters think this site is too liberal? this forum is NOT liberal, far from it and if you think this forum is liberal then, my friends, you havent seen true 21st Century liberalism.

Lol someone clearly voted extreme

I'd like to hear the reasoning behind the extreme vote, I don't understand it. One or two people who are extreme are more the exceptions rather than norm, and in a general sense I can't see how we're extreme! :S

RE last para. thats subjective. peoples guilt level is different for all.

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

But I don't want to bend my boundaries to be less guilty. I'd rather feel more guilty, which in turn, would make me act on my guilt and be a better person.

You don't need to vote to see the results, you can click on the poll and at the top there is a tab which lets you view the results.

I'm not suprised most people chose 'too liberal'

Normal with a slight hint of craziness :/ lol basically we all feel strongly on certain issues doesn't make you extreme nor should it mean you be labelled as too liberal when failing to agree with everyone around you.

What do you mean "we", you don't count, you're not a registered member Blum 3

I haven't voted yet as Titanium because I'm not too comfortable with the options provided above. I had to vote on something to see the statistics so far.

But yes, I still think this forum doesn't know what liberalism is all about and I don't think It'd like to promote it either. Lilly is right to some extent, this forum is a way for young and confused to find some solitude and confidence in their choices hence it may APPEAR liberal but that doesn't mean that it is. It may be liberal compared to some of the orthodox serious no nonse/no life/ no fun/ strict sects but it's not liberal at all.

Only if you guys knew how far the bending and breaking rules could go without feeling guilty, I don't think you'd like to be associated with "liberal muslims".

Interesting... you didnt vote as Titanium... so who did you vote as??

Dear me. You ARE allowed to vote without having an account on here. I could vote 20 times and none of you would know. It's only when you're a registered user that you can only vote once.

Dictionary meaning of LIBERAL: Open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.

Hmmm.. Now that i'm thinking of it what sort of liberalism are we talking about?

'Cause if you're talking about being a member in society and general things, we ALL are liberal in some way or another.

Even on The Revival, we share our opinions. We might not think in exactly the same way so we'll ask for clarifications and explanations, but its just broadening our understanding and letting us hear what other people have to say. So we ARE being liberal in that sense.

If you're talking about it on religious grounds, then it's important that we acknowledge that not everyones going to agree with our religion and our behaviour and certain parts within a religion either.

Willing to discard traditional values? That's fine too. Tradition in terms of culture can go in the bin if it likes. But i think it's important, well for me its important, that i DON'T discard RELIGIOUS values.

Too broad - Depends on what angle you want to see it from.

abualabbasassaffah7 wrote:

Do you like it? lol. I don't pronounce it with the Arab-ness that it should have 'cause then they'd be throat/full-mouth letters to pronounce. I'm not a fan of the dip either and i barely eat it but one of the users suggested it to me, so i thought why not and decided to keep it that way.
