I did not know that this was an Islamic forum

Every Muslim watches Bollywood films know one says anything but when it comes to Pakistani films everyone is up in arms

Pakistani actors are Muslim
Pakistan is not the only Muslim country that makes films
Bangladesh has Dollywood in Dhaka
Iran also makes films

My English is not very good

Every muslim does not watch bollywood films, heck every muslim doesn't even watch films!

and you could talk about culture within certain muslims but what significance does talking about Lollywood have especially now during ramadhan when there are much more important things to discuss!

I am trying to promote Pakistani films among the young youth of today that's not a crime is it?

What's the harm in letting other Muslims know about it - It's up to them if they want to watch the films or not but at least they will know that there is some thing out there which is made in Pakistan

We always see the negative said of Pakistan on TV and in news papers so I thought lets show people the softer side of Pakistan you dont seem to like it

Do you not understand what the word 'every', means?

Yes you're right, it shouldn't be stopped - it should be improved. Lollywood won't improve anyone's life.

I would say it means all

It will not improve anyone's life but it will provide entertainment for 3 or 2 and half hours and take people out of there worries

My English is not very good

what truly REMOVES worry is worship and quran reading and ASKING YOUR CREATOR TO REMOVE THE WORRY.

what will TRY to MASK the worry is this.

btw...you COULD get sin if you influence people into negative actions. on the day of judgement, they will point at you and say things like "he's the one who told me to watch it" and Allah will either take from your good deeds and give it to them. or take from their bad deeds and give it to you.

on a more extreme view. acting could be seen as lying. so no muslim would ever be an actor.

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

Hmmm.. Quite like this reply.! And agree with it too..
Not sure how acting is lying?

A lot of films have a good message behind them so not all films should be seen as negative or sinful - Pakistan has also made Islamic religious movies

They say when you point you are pointing three fingers at your self and one at the other person

You have to understand that movies are not real they don't have to be, they are made for enjoyment and
country representation,

The following Muslim countries have a film industry

Bangladesh Dhallywood (The religious groups dont lke it)

Indonesia I don't know the name of the film industry

Iraq I don't know the name of the film industry

Iran I don't know the name of the film industry

Kuwait I don't know the name of the film industry

Malaysia I don't know the name of the film industry

Oman has a small Film industry

Pakistan Lollywood (religious groups don’t lke it)

Palestine has alos started making films as well

I am shocked to write even Saudi Arab has produced films

Syria I don't know the name of the film industry

Yemen I don't know the name of the film industry

All of the countries above are Muslim and have all made films

Why do you allways fail to see the POINT? :/

Lets reunite the ummah under one flag LA ILAHA IL ALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH

because "muslim" countries have film industry doesnt make it okay...

and acting could be seen as lying coz you're not really a doctor but acting like one. you're not really married to that chick and these kids arent really yours. everyone knows that. but that doesnt make it okay.

just like listening to music with instrument. everyone does it doesnt make it okay.

but please dont make me go into it too much ,dont want to become a hyprocrite. i have not yet fought the "moooooohhvizz" yet.

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

The point is don't watch films just pray pray and pray read the Quran, give Sadqa-Qurbani,

I think Islam and Muslims are boring tbhwy

No Dance
No Films
No Music

No wonder many Muslims around the world are frustrated they have no entertainment in there lifes nothing to look forward to,all they worry about is Namaz ka time ho gaya hai (its time to pray)

After seeing your views I bet you your self don't listen to music or watch films

Please people lighten up

My English is not very good

there are other ways to lighten up. some peopel find comfort in praying. praying is about thanking Allah for keeping you alive until that moment you're praying, for allowing your muscles to respond to your brain and work in coordination with teh rest of your body to be able to make the movement of prayer. Its about thanking Allah for giving you the ability to memorize the order or salah and the duahs and surahs you know. Its about thanking Allah for seeing the place where you're going to make sujood; SEEING.

praying isnt for Allah. Its FOR YOU. its to show gratefulness.

some people find lightening up in reading the Quran and the amazing stories in there. In reading about the sahabas and hwo they lived. in learning new things that are BENEFICIAL to them in this life and the hereafter. people ahve different hobbies. so why cant your hobby be memorizing ahadith? why is it not seen as something enjoyable?

the answer is that the heart has become corrupted. and does not know what is good for you and what isnt. It THINKS it knows. but it doesnt. you dont. only Allah knows.

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

If its not ok then why does Saudi Arab have a film industry? after all they should know better they are people of the holly land and Muslims around the world look up to 'em worse Pakistani's blindly follow every step

If you listened to Pakistani Music you would say to your self what have I been missing all this time this is just great

Lol. Ironically these films and industries you're so in love with are prob mostly less halaal than cousin marriages.

I don't need movies and music to make me happy, nor have they ever really made me happy. I am honestly only happy when i am doing things that please my lord. Biggrin << see happy.

You're the one who seems unhappy and also seems to have mossed the point in life.

PS what do you mean we have nothing to look forward to? If we had nothing to look forward to why would we be here? I'm looking forward for the akhira (the next life)

I was pointing out the irony, but I spose Feefs is right in that you actually arent fussed about the halaal and haraam of things.

That's true I'm not a religious person but I know one thing religion takes over a persons life, for example with Islam it’s when you eat eat with your right hand (what's wrong with the left one) when you dress put your right arm or leg in the cloths first and if you put your shoes on put your right shoe on first, don't cut your nails at night, when you drink drink in 3 sips- when your feeling thirsty that's going to be the last thing on your mind

(that’s what I have been told) these kind of things get annoying

Its worse for women

They are meant to be kept in doors if they go out they most be covered head to toe,if they want to go to Haj they most have a mehram with them, why cant they go alone? Is it because of there gender?

A women's blood money is less then a mans blood money (Qasas and deeyat) why?
