11 young people from Middle East travel around the UK!

YOUNG PEOPLE FROM MIDDLE EAST TRAVEL TO THE UK FOR THE JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME

London, 13 June 2010 – Eleven young creative people from Pakistan, Jordan, Kuwait, and Qatar are participants of a groundbreaking educational project called the “Offscreen Expedition.” The project, made in collaboration with the British Council, fosters cross-cultural understanding, development of youth leadership, peer-to-peer advocacy, and inter-cultural dialogue. The project hopes to positively impact young people in both the UK and the Islamic world.

The young people’s incredible journey is being filmed by Bold Creative, an award-winning creative agency based in London. Bold Creative is travelling with these young people on their eye-opening journey and will film their new discoveries and insights that they find along the way. You can view the videos through their blog:

The young people will travel from multicultural London to the hills of Yorkshire and then back via some of the UK’s largest cities from 11-25 July. During the expedition the team will record their travels, contacts and experiences first hand, producing a cultural ‘travelogue’ of art, photography, film and thoughts.
