[b]Israel "systematically" kills people [/b]
An international conference has been held in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta to voice support for the Palestinian nation.
The political and cultural figures, including Jewish and Christian clerics, who attended the "Conference on 60 years of genocide in Palestine" expressed support for the Palestinian people.
At the conference, Head of the Islamic Human Rights Council, Masoud Shajareh called on the world to exert pressure on the Israeli regime to end its atrocities in the occupied territories. He slammed the inaction of certain Western states which has emboldened the Israeli regime.
Meanwhile the Indonesian parliament speaker who attended the conference said the Israeli regime systemically kills Palestinians and demolishes their homes and farms.
During the conference, a Jewish rabbi stressed that Zionism has nothing to do with Judaism and Zionists are not Jewish.
[b]Gaza siege kills 2 including infant[/b]
An eight-month old infant and a 45-year old man have died due to the ongoing siege of Gaza after suffering from serious illnesses.
Rami Abdo, spokesperson of the Popular Committee Against the Siege, said the two died of serious illnesses after being denied permission to leave the coastal region for medical treatment. Several patients died in Gaza last week.
Abdo stated that Fahidh Tawafeen, eight months old, suffered from leukemia and her family filed an appeal to the Israeli authorities more than 20 days ago to allow them to transfer her to a hospital outside the Gaza Strip but received no response and the child died at the al-Aqsa Hospital in the central Gaza Strip.
Also, medical sources reported Saturday that Hosny Sobhy Salah, 45, died of a heart condition at a Gaza hospital due to lack of medication, International Middle East Media Center said.
The deaths raised the number of Palestinians who died due to the ongoing siege of Gaza to 145.

Hamas says threats made by the US President George Bush cannot intimidate the movement into giving up its resistance against occupation.
“God willing, Hamas will continue to remain a thorn in the side of the US administration and regional and internal bullies,” read a statement issued by the movement on Sunday.
The statement followed Bush's Sunday remarks in Sharm el-Sheikh, and his call for a confrontation with Hamas.
"All nations in the region must stand together in confronting Hamas, which is attempting to undermine efforts at peace with continued acts of terror and violence," Bush said.
In its statement, Hamas described Bush's comments as an attempt to provoke a confrontation with 'a movement that won the votes of the majority of the Palestinian people in clear and free elections, as witnessed by the world.'
“Bush's new remarks, in addition to his speech at the Israeli Knesset and his appraisal of the Zionist regime on the 60th anniversary of the occupation of Palestine, which he called the Promised land, show just how biased he is in favor of the tyrannical regime,” said the movement.

Israel is a shallow country that needs to be challenged and questioned. Mahmoud Abbas should challenge Ehud Olmert to come and see the damage he's done. And maybe Olmert will stop being a coward and tyrant. Or he could just turn a blind eye.
