Fahrenheit
Michael Moore's double Cannes-winning documentary is a scathing indictment of Bush and his administration, from his controversial election in 2000 through the attack on the World Trade Center to the invasion of Iraq. Along the way, Moore shows how Bush had already been warned of Bin Laden's attacks in August 2001, how Saudi Arabia has invested $360bn in the American economy - seven per cent of total investment - and how he is dangerously close to those who stand to profit from the war in Iraq. He also addresses the human implications, as bereaved mother Lila Lispcomb travels from Flint, Michigan to confront the White House, and shows the true feelings of troops in Iraq. Although it is occasionally sprawling, Moore successfully convinces that the Bush administration is headed by an incompetent leader with a questionable taste in friends.

Ghost Warriors
Channel 4's critically acclaimed foreign affairs series continues in its ninth run. Southern Thailand is mainly Muslim and many of the locals, who feel they are treated as second class citizens, would prefer to secede and become part of Malaysia instead of Buddhist Thailand. Is the escalating violence the work of Islamic separatists like the Thai government claims? Sandra Jordan finds many on the ground who beg to differ. She meets local people whose family have been shot by the government forces, while on the other side of the conflict she visits local schools where teachers and pupils have to be protected by soldiers.
