Who'se Nazia?

She looks like a 12 year old kid in that picture with those pigtails.

Thats another thing why do they call them pigtails?

Reminds me of what the Trunchbull did to that little girl in Matilda. Biggrin

Ive honestly never heard of her.

Cant say i recall hearing any of her songs either...

A 12 yr old? she looks like a 30 year old trying to act like a kid!

Never heard of her, just know of her existence due to this thread.

I think she probably was about 12 in that picture.

She didn't hate Indians. She embraced diversity and culture.

That's too bad... pretty girl.

She died at a very young age of Cancer didnt she?

She was famous in the 80's. My family from back home used to listen to her songs.

i still dont understand why a non paki-english speaking-jewish-Londoner would be into a 80's Pakistani pop princess

What you don't understand in this case is not my problem.

Its not a "problem" 100man...

Just curious as to how you came across her and her songs?

And why you would like them?? Especially if they were mostly around in the 80's?

Without wishing to overstate my case I explained it very simply. She was not afraid to cut across social boundaries to make everyone human again. Who in music has that appeal today? Who is a comparable icon?
