As usual please post on other forums and jzk to my editing team as always. Please send this poem to any Muslim school children you know and even read it to them inshAllah, so that we motivate and inspire the next generation to hold onot Islam and follow it better than us.

Muslim children bullied in schools

It’s another day
Time to get ready
For school
Run the gauntlet once again
Being bullied and abused
By my class mates
Say my prayers to Allah
As I say goodbye to my family

Put on a brave face
For my younger sister
Show what I do not feel
Full of fear and anxiety
As soon as they see me
They will all gang up against me

Calling me names
Terrorist and suicide bomber
Quoting politicians and the media
Trying to make me ashamed
Of my heritage as a Muslim
Obedient slave to Allah the almighty

Pushing me against the wall
Surrounding me
I resist and fight back
But eventually fall
To the floor
As they kick and spit on me
Rip my hijab and clothes
Like wild beasts
Never thought girls could behave like this

As I rise
Wipe the spittle from my face
Put on my torn hijab to hide my modesty
I feel happy knowing I didn’t surrender
Although I was outnumbered
But it’s the history of our Ummah
Always victorious when odds are against us
That’s when we gain Allah’s pleasure and grace

The authorities do nothing
Deaf, dumb and blind
Give Islamophobia a different term
School girl antics and exuberance
It’s as if they are all in collusion
So to the Quran I turn for my solution
Hope and courage
Comfort and solace

Patience and dua
Gets us through another day
In a few years I will leave school
But still face abuse and attacks
Discrimination and racism
In college, uni and the work place
On the street, buses and the tube

It’s the price we pay
For dressing and behaving like a Muslim
Society wants us to conform
Dress and act like they do
They say we’re free
But not to follow Islam
like we want to

So we the Muslim youth continue
Being brave in the heart of the Western civilisation
Resisting and standing up for our deen
Debating with those who wish to
And fending off the attacks of the ignorant
Just like the children of Palestine and Iraq

Our only weapon is dua

“Ya Allah send from you one who will protect us, our honour, dignity and faith,

Ya Allah send the likes of Salahudin and Mutassim Billah once again,

Ya Allah let us be worthy of your pleasure and grant us the victory and allow us to establish your religion as a beacon of light for the whole of humanity

Ya Allah it is only you we obey and follow, we may be young but we are at the forefront in carrying and representing your deen,

Ya Allah only to you we complain and if you are happy with us then we do not care what horrors they inflict upon us, for surely their hate will be a weapon against them on the day of judgement and our suffering and pain will the source of our joy and happiness ”.

Showkat, are you HT?

I only ask because Ed Hussein said you are and that you threatened him.

Sad, encouraging post and it is true in some places.

"Purity is half of faith.......Prayer is the light...patience is illumination; and the Quran is an argument for or against you. Everyone starts his day and is a vendor of his soul, either freeing it or bringing about its ruin." Muslim

i wouldn't say it offers much encouragement:

Quote:
In a few years I will leave school
But still face abuse and attacks
Discrimination and racism
In college, uni and the work place
On the street, buses and the tube

Don't just do something! Stand there.

Yeah I quite agree however the guy probably put a lot of effort into it, might as well praise him.

I have to admit it is a dull, depressing post.

I think the poem is a bit extreme and a distorted version of what actually goes on in schools. Most parents are likely to send their kids to a school where there are predominantly Muslims because they fear their child will be racially discriminated against for their religious beliefs.

Most parents don't have a choice.

Most schools are not predominantly Muslim.

Religion is only one reason why some children are bullied.

Race, culture, class, family, acamdemic ability, personality, appearance are some of the reasons why children are bullied - some bullies do not even need a reason to bully others.

im not blaming the parents i can understand why they do it.
I think it depends on the area you live in. If its a predominantly Asian area for example Oldham/Rochdale or bradistan (aka Bradford) then the schools are going to be predominantly Muslim populated.
I went to a church of England primary school and it was predominantly Muslim populated (yeah i know weird). But my high school was 99.9% non muslim populated.

ethnic minorties only make up 9% of britains population

there are about 1.6 million people out of the 60million people who live in britain are muslim

so how many predominatly muslim schools must there be for muslim kids?

Like i said it depends on the area you live in. If its asian infested then chances are that the school will be too.
