Apple - We Love you

Well yes I'm one of the nerds here, however, that would make me a stylish nerd or a gay nerd for being a huge mac fan. However I'm not batty so I'll go with stylish nerd Blum 3

Any other mac fans? I'm a PC user at the moment but want to make my change very very soon well after I get my yamaha r1

Whats your experience with Mac, I have used them but not as a home computer, you really need to use something as a home computer to have the true experience, im fed up with my laptop slowing down alot due to spyware etc how does the MAC do on this? Does your mac slow down alot? And also do you need to defrag your drives on MAC? Because I hear its a unix based os and they have a different way of handling files and is less messy than the windows one...Anyways your long term experiences please Biggrin

My experience with a mac is zilch. Nada. nothing.

Just seen them, played with one in PC world and that is about it.

Not really into the music seen so I don't have an ipod either.

Their first product I may buy is the iPhone - but that is if they hurry up.

Mac's look good and apparently have a very good OS. But they only play in the more premium sectors - nothing cheap. Both good and bad as i cannot justify spending that much on a PC.

PS want in on the guys only forum? (and are you eligible?)

I'm not much of a specialist on the subject but I used a Mac for a while. It was not really more reliable than Windows (crashed quite a bit), and not as easy to customise and mess around with, but apart from that it did the job.

Macs rule!

hasn't anyone seen Peep Show?

It proves that Macs rule!

From the original Mac classic (with a B&W screen that my secondary school still used up until 5 years ago) to the first multicoloured iMacs (that suddenly made people realise you didn't have to use characterless beige boxes) though the iPod (the 'it' accessory for the noughties) and now some Macbook thingy that I have no idea about but is BLATANTLY cool, Macs have always lead the way.

Plus, if you go into any Apple Store you get to use the internet for freeee!!!

Don't just do something! Stand there.

Have you thought of installing anti-spyware software Blum 3

I've used Windows all my life and I'm very familiar and comfortable with it. I've had a few problems in the past but as I've now bought a new laptop, everything seems to be perfect. Windows is running smoothly (which is unusual considering my laptop hasn't crashed.... even once).

I used macs when I was in secondary school but I guess they have evolved a long way. I've seen the adverts and they seem really cool, esp. the magnetic power cable.
