The Movie topic

Salaam

Watched White Man's Burden tonight. (BBC 2 I think...)

Its an old film which I had not heard of before.

It was basically a social commentary based in an 'opposite' world to today, where the african Americans play the role of current white americans and vice versa.

The concept was brilliant.

It was thought provoking. And it challenged stereotypes. Probably an independent production, as I would not expect the mainstream cinema to produce it. (and it lacked the polish of blockbusters...)

I have also watched Syriana reently. It is supposed a film which challenges stereotypes, and asks question where the viewer is supposed to make their own mind.

However, to me it presented a bleak outlook to the world. What was even bleaker was that is how I see the world, and the fact I do not see a way out.
