Take Off Hijab to Avoid Harm: UK Muslim Scholar

Since the rise of MCB, Mr Badawi is feeling left out and needed a high profile issue like Hijab to attract attention!

Lords/ honours list etc are big temptations.

I was attacked after the twin towers tragedy. I was also sworn at and spit on. I was also 'advised' to remove my hijaab. So I thought.. Hmmmm.. do I remove my hijaab and 'save myself' here on earth, or stay covered and give myself a little more leverage in the hereafter? Tough choice. Not. Wearing this simple cloth means there's more of a chance Allaah and HIS angels will protect me. Without, He is more likely to be displeased with me. This life is short. The next is not. I'd rather suffer in this one then that. And I fear Allaah's wrath a great deal more then I fear the BNP.

Peace

cudnt agree with Lady Muslima more.

Become obedient to the Chief, Muhammad salallahu alayhi wa sallam, so ALL chiefs become obedient to you.

Don't be stupid.

When did any non-fanatic British Muslim imam have a high profile in this country anyway?

So what if an imam becomes a lord. House of Lords has too many Christian clerics. An authoritative Islamic voice in the Lords is no bad thing.

It's not Professor Badawi's fault that people misconstrue his intentions of wanting to help Muslimah in this dangerous time. He did not issue a ban on the hijab. He offerred advice. If you don't like it then either respectfully disagree or shut up.

i think that we muslim brothers and sisters should remain strong and shoukd not show these kafir that we are in fear. Why should we take the hijab off because of these kafir? we cant let them take over our lives. If some kafir people do abuse us we know within our hearts that they will get punished.. we just need to have some patience InshAllah.
W/salam

Important information.

It has come to our attention that a few years back during a dutch interview the socalled moedarte scholar badawi mentioned that muslim women are not required to wear hijab in europe.

I am currently engagnig in investigation but this information has been provided to me by alhamdulillah an extremely reliable source. Any muslims with information regarding this earlier fatwa should post details here.

It has also come to our attention that a few years back certain ulama of salafi sect declared a fatwa of kufr on this badawi character, again we are searching for further details.

It should be noted that badawi holds no right to negate divine law. Unfortunately by labelling him moderate those ulama who oppose his personal opinion and cite religious law to negate his fallacy are now commonly deemed as extreme. We pray ALLAH grants guidance to the people.

Message from a prominent Mawlana is that should muslims be so easy to give up their deen it really begs the question of what value is their iman.

Become obedient to the Chief, Muhammad salallahu alayhi wa sallam, so ALL chiefs become obedient to you.

So who is 'we'?

Have you turned into a gestalt entity?

However I would liek the new info. and reasons behind these other scholars 'fatwas'.

If we look objectively at one, we should look at all of them under the same light.

I feel sorry for this Scholar; people are calling him all sorts.

Nowadays if one doesn’t agree with another they are quick with their Fatwa’s.

What do these Fatwa’s achieve?

If one agrees with him them they should listen to him and if they don’t they should RESPECTFULLY disagree.

Interestingly, those who spend most of their time condemning this Scholar are no way near his calibre.

In Islam doesn’t necessity override the rule?

He has said that IF a woman fears attack she may remove her Hijaab….as mentioned previously in life threatening situations even haraam is no longer haraam.

WE also need to know why/how the Fatwa of Kufr is placed on this scholar

it is not enough to say that it is from a "reliable source"

WE will not be happy unless WE are given the reasons behind the Fatwa

WE look forward to your response

Now WE will submit this post and go and post a reply on another thread

Lady Muslima I strongly advise you to read my post carefully. I said that ulama of salafi sect put fatwa of kufr on badawi. I did not say that the reliable source put the fatwa on badawi rather i said that the information regarding the salafi ulama putting fatwa on badawi came from a reliable source.

Currently I am in the process of investigation.

MashaALLAH we are pleased that Lady Muslima has adopted our style of communication!

lol

True. Next issue, we should have a small section called post of the issue (or something). This could easily be a winning nomination.
