Once you get people laughing, they're listening and you can tell them almost anything. [Herbert Gardner]

When I was younger, my sister called me into the kitchen and held a small purple tin in her hands. I think I could read, or maybe it was just that I recognised the sign. Cadbury’s. No that just sounded good. I could definitely read. I've always been a reader.

She smiled at me lovingly and asked if I wanted to smell something. I was pretty indifferent to be honest and probably shrugged or something, she took that as a yes and lifted off the lid.

As she did, I caught a quick whiff but she prompts me to smell the fine dark brown power inside, properly. Cocoa Powder. The smell rushed to my nose, it seeped through the air instantly and alerted my senses.

I smelt the sweet deliciousness of the cocoa beans – the rich smell of chocolate. It’s a beautiful smell, sigh. For a second or two I was grateful to her for introducing me to it. My lovely sister familiarising me with pleasing aromas. Of course my brain (and mouth) registered that it was something great. The smell and I would be great friends in the future. I knew that instantly.

My sister must have seen me appreciating it (or maybe she had this wicked little plan, pre-planned) and said ‘Do you want to taste it?’ or actually I think she said ‘taste it’ not really giving me an option OR she probably shoved it in my greedy little mouth (ok I must have snatched it from her). It was put on a spoon and my hand carried it up.

I was a little Bruce Bogtrotter back then (‘well, it's hard for me to remember a specific cake’ ha!). So I was eager to try it. Really eager (hey a lot of the taste is in the smell – well someone told me it was).

So yeh back to what happened. I tasted it; it sheeted my taste buds in a thick coat. The taste made me widen my eyes, made me immediately spit out. It was g-r-o-s-s! Yuck, spit, spit, and spit – patooey! (I’ve said that before haven’t I?) It was BITTER man! She tricked me. Tricked the little female version of Brucy. Oh my Gosh, how could she.

IN FACTTT, she doesn’t even feel bad – even now after ages after all these years you know, she has never once apologised. In fact, just to give her a chance before I defamed her, I reminded her of that time – my other sister sat there expectantly– I expect that she must have been a victim too.

Her reply was a smooth ‘Well .[name]. done it to me, so I did it to you’. WHAT?!

Silly girl! I think she’s like that cocoa powder, sweet smelling but deadly – DEADDDDLLLLLY – you heard me – I know you’re reading this!

She’s actually speaking now saying ‘youre acting like I cut off your leg’ – excuse me but I was just your innocent, gluttonous, little sister who wanted to taste glory and you madam TRICKED ME.

Little does she know that I shall get my back one day.

Muhahaha - ha - ha.

I was going to say that your sister would make a great drug dealer, but then I saw that she did not sweeten the taste.

She would be a rubbish drug dealer!

That sir, is one interesting image! Although the best drug dealing she does is giving my nephew's medicine.
