The Quran comes first

Author: The Grant Mufti of Saudi Arabia: Shaikh ‘Abdul ‘Azeez Aalish Shaikh (HafithahuAllah)

Question:
How can we combine between memorizing the Noble Qur’an and seeking knowledge?

Answer:

Start with the Qur’an, reading it and perfecting its recitation. If you accomplish this –may Allah aid you in seeking knowledge- this is a great bounty from Allah upon you. The Qur’an will be ease for the one who (sincerely) wants it, for verily, Allah The Most High says, “And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?” [Al-Qamar: 17]

"How did you find it?"

I find this question extremely annoying, and i will use now as an occasion to rant. to talk about this week. and stuff.

So, you come out of the exam and the sole things on people's lips is "How did you find it?" then they have this expecting face on and they are slightly leaning forward...waiting for you to utter words of wisdom; these words will SURELY save their life and make them pass the exam..obviously.

I am solely against this act of going round asking random people "how did you find it?". What are people trying to GET out of this? Anyone wanna explain?

and what are you suppose to say? "hard" "easy" "alright" and then...*Awkward moment because your answer doesnt go with theirs*

What's the point, anyone wanna explain to this unsocial thing here?

To all our unsleepyheads.

Assalaamu 'alaikoum unsleepy heads! i come in peace.

Les Cités.

the closest meaning in english would be "the estates"

what if a kid reached out to try and touch one of the flowers or birds...

I dont get mocks

my mocks are around the corner, eg: beginning on december, but my real exam are in january (begin/middleish)

so im suppose to revise for mocks (and (i think) get good marks) so...i'll have a WHOLE MONTH to forget, re learn everythign again? or...what am i suppose to do in between the mocks and the real thing?

i know, im suppose to use my mocks and look at what i need to improve on..but there cant be THAT many things that i'll need to improve on... right?!

so...mocks... i dont get it...

Im having a great time!

this is basically a very LOOONNNGGG blogpost summarized to its basic atomic core, which i feel is enough to convey what i meant.

"you think too much" and You's rule of thumb about parents.

i know all them and you've told me SOO many times, but i cant help it. and now im really upset, so i'll just gush everything out here (without thinking about it and without proofreading)

 im so scared for my younger siblings! i KNOW they are still young, but i want them to love the deen and not see it as a burden. Im sooo scared they wont be able to give up their little wordly desires, im so scared they wont see the VALUE of Islam and the knowledge they need to acquire. and it makes me SOO sad and upset when i have to tell them repeatedly, "go read Quran" "go do your memorizing" i want them to like it and enjoy it, NOT see it as a burden where big sis always NAGS and NAGS about it
