How to be Grateful

Ive always wondered how to thank Allah subhanahou wata'ala.

I knew all about how to ask for forgiveness and how it was quite a process, but i thought, "what about thanking Allah?" saying Alhamdoulillah surely couldnt be enough? wasn't there a set pattern? something specific to do?

then i found . and i'm so glad i did. (its less than 2 mins, dont be scared...)

It does seem a lot harder, a lot more complicated. and a more constant thing. But after reflecting, we have a lot more to be grateful for.

I was explaining to some little kids, Allah give us eyesight 24/7. He could just give us ability to see in the morning for some of us, in the afternoon for some of us, on weekends for some of us. Who else gives us such a valuable service, FOR FREE, 24/7?

yeah..that's what i thought too, so we GOTTA BE GRATEFUL. a lot of the time, most of the time really. And im sure it could never be enough...

I was contemplating this one specific time and i thought about what He had blessed me with. The smallest blessing, according to the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) that Allah (s.w.t) gave us, is the breaths we take.

Along with that, I went on to think was, the skin that we have clothing our muscles and bones is a blessing, as is each single hair strand on our bodies. It just shows how the tiniest thing is be something to be grateful for.. Alhumdulillah.

I've heard/read somewhere that to thank Allah (s.w.t) and show appreciation before asking for something in a Du'a is the Sunnah way of making Du'a, meaning we have to thank him five times a day, including anything completed during the day and any Nafl Salaah etc means we should be thanking Him nonstop!

Jazakallah khair for the wise words and the video was great too. An important rrminder indeed.

This is the purpose of our life.

Lets reunite the ummah under one flag LA ILAHA IL ALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH
