Eid Mubarak, guys. Have a good one Wink

Slaughtered humanely in compliance with Muslim tradition.

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.

There's nothing wrong with them being sacrificed. They are dying for Allah (swt), I'm sure they are happy with that. there have been accounts of animals, trees etc listening to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) words, giving him shade, being in the sajda position so why would the animals be unhappy with that?

you can phrase it however you like. its still not very pleasant for the poor wee souls... now they desrve their own little heaven for being brave wee things.

God createth, God taketh.

Firstly: Animals dont actually have souls.
Secondly: When an animal is slaughtered during the ziba processs. They are slaughtered in a humane way so that they dont suffer.
Thirdly: As feef said they are dying for Allah (swt) in that im sure they are happy. As on the Day of Judgement they will be called upon to testify on your behalf that you actually did make sacrifices as commanded by the Prophet (pbuh).
Fourth: You're being an overly emotional woman. Stop it.

lol.

Allah cares more about His creation than we do, if He says ok then I'm sure it's fine

Sacrifices are a requirement of Hajj and commanded of the Muslim people by the Prophet (pbuh) himself. Personally thats reason enough for me.

Its not to say i dont value an animals feelings. Ofcourse I do. Islam teaches that mankind are the custodians of all of creation and thus we should treat them (animals) with kindness. For kindness towards an animal is the same as kindness to another human.

In the end it is only Allah (swt) who has the right to take a life. That is why we recite his name before an animal is killed. As a way of asking his permission to take this life for the purposes of food.

The Prophet Suleiman (may Allah (swt) be pleased with him) was a decendant of Prophet Abraham (as) and I imagine therefore followed the teachings and practices of such sacrifice.

Remember it is a sacrfice, not blood sport. We give up, 'sacrifice' an animal, which are of great value and use to us alive, in order to feed the hungry.
