True Freedom

This is a rap/poem whatever you want to call it that I've written. Please don't imagine me in some bling-bling! I don't do that stuff. Have a read and tell me what you think. It's called True Freedom, it may scare some people, but tough luck. Tell me what you think.

The drugs, the clubs and all the booze
Gave me the buzz, the notion of being full
How much money you had, or whether you could pull
The media, the magazines set the expectations
Making you think it was the aspiration
But that was before I got the news
Of the Truth, the Right and the only One
I've moved on since the old days
Left the idea of artificial fun
Learnt to correct those ways

Despite all the times that I've gone wrong
I've been blessed with the will to stay strong
It's like when you let someone down
But they forgive, and give you a second chance
To do what's right for all, and to advance
Then you know your friends in town
Just sense and smell that aroma
You thank all and the One
That's the smell of True Freedom

That other lifestyle brings no true joy
The buzz, the booze and drugs all die
I was so battered, so down, so weak
But he was there, he gave me the truth to seek
To help be break the heavy shackles of artificial fun
To get me to talk to, respect and commit to that special someone
I promised to carry ones like me
Through these tough times of animosity
I made the same promise as he did
That's why I'm stood here making this bid

Despite all the times that I've gone wrong
I've been blessed with the will to stay strong
It's like when you let someone down
But they forgive, and give you a second chance
To do what's right for all, and to advance
Then you know your friends in town
Just sense and smell that aroma
You thank all and the One
That's the smell of True Freedom

I know this is a hard choice for you to make
But sometimes the hard path is the best to take
I'll carry you, walk with you, and we'll see it through
If you put your mind and will to it
Put your faith and trust in the One
Please leave the path of death and despair
Smell the coffee, smell the air
That's the air of true freedom

Excellent, most raps are a waste of sound! But not this.
But I once met this idiot guy who thought that rapping per se was haram. WHAT?!!
