A video partly showing the journey of a soul after death and also the punishment after death.

This video is mostly in urdu and has some arabic i think, sorry for those who do not understand urdu but may still be able to make sense of it. [english sub video below]

IMO the videos really effective in portraying what happens to those who do not travel upon the straight path and once death hits us it's too late to make amends.

Governor fatally shot 26 times

Quote:
The influential governor of Pakistan's Punjab province, Salman Taseer, has died after being shot by one of his bodyguards in the capital, Islamabad.

Mr Taseer, a senior member of the Pakistan People's Party, was shot when getting into his car at a market.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik said the guard had told police that he killed Mr Taseer because of the governor's opposition to Pakistan's blasphemy law.

Many were angered by his defence of a Christian woman sentenced to death.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani declared three days of national mourning and ordered flags lowered to half-mast. He also ordered an immediate inquiry into Mr Taseer's killing and appealed for calm.

Twenty20 World Cup 2010

T20 tournament returns guaranteeing suspense, tears (for the losing sides =p) and excitement all round.

The cricket T20 is now well under way with the first 4 matches completed. Now for those who don't know what a game of Twenty20 cricket is, a summary would be that it is a shortened version of a normal 50 innings one day match.

Who are your favourites to win this years T20 World Cup??

Workings and History of the T20 game and World Cup.

T20 conists of two innings typically lasting 20 overs if disrupted by bad weather then the innings may become shorter.

T20 has officially been around since 2003 but has only become more popularin recent years with the introduction of the IPL tournament and T20 World Cup.

Diagnosis of death

I was recently interested to see that the medically recognised definition of death is widely recognised and supported as being 'brain stem death' (was decided in case of Airedale NHS Trust v Bland)

yet then is that not a problem for doctors in cases of brain steam death when a patient has lost vegetative functions and is simply living off life support....problem in terms of morality and ethics. As it is simply impossible to ignore factors such as family pressure and the fact that the patient is a human.

This is not something new, afterall there have been many cases where there has been dispute whether such patients should be pulled of life support or allowed to 'live' off life support.

Assisted Suicide Interim Policy

The director of public prosecutions Keir Starmer QC in september of 2009 issued guidelines in regards assisted suicide and when people can be prosecuted when they have played a part in this.

A numebr of cases have been brought foward such as Pretty v United Kingdom and R (on the application of Purdy) v Director of Public Prosecutions.

Guidelines can be found here http://www.cps.gov.uk/news/press_releases/144_09/

What are your views on this topic?

Should it just be seen as a form of homicide fullstop?

even though the person has given consent ....

or should symphathy be shown in certain cases?
