Will the government's web 'snoop' plans work?

The government will soon outline its plans to give security officials the power to monitor emails and internet use.

The proposals, which are predicted to feature in the upcoming Queen's speech, have been described by supporters as a much-needed "modernisation" of current measures which allow the monitoring of telephone calls.

Critics, however, call the plans an unnecessary extension of the law, and an infringment of civil liberties.

Are you Intro or Extro

Who are you?

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

Please be honest.

Extrovert power

Do we discriminate against introverts?

Do we really give introverts a hard time?

It is often assumed extroverts do best in life, but according to a new best-selling book, introverts are just as high achievers. It claims there is a bias towards extroverts in Western society. So do we discriminate against introverts?

Barack Obama, JK Rowling and Steve Wozniak.

They might not immediately stand out as introverts, but according to Susan Cain, American author of Quiet: The Power of Introverts In a World That Can't Stop Talking, they are.

Three-point plan of forbidding evil in your life.

"If one of you sees a wickedness, let him change it with his hand; if he is unable to do so then by the use of his tongue; if he is still unable, then with his heart and this is the weakest form of Imaan (faith)."

In several riwayaat that are also authentic is states the additional words, “And after that not even a mustard seed or equivalent of Imaan is left."

UK riots blamed on poor famlies

they simply blame the riots on poor black families...

Riot report reveals '500,000 forgotten families'

A lack of support and opportunity for young people contributed to the outbreak of riots in England last summer, an independent report says.

The Riots, Communities and Victims Panel, set up last year, highlights "500,000 forgotten families".

Poor parenting, an inability to prevent reoffending, and a lack of confidence in the police were also cited.

Schools which fail to teach pupils to read and write should be fined, it said.

The report is just one of several investigating the causes of the riots - which spread after the death of Mark Duggan in Tottenham on 4 August.

Up to 50,000 migrants 'exploited student visa flaw to work in UK'

Up to 50,000 migrants may have exploited flaws in a new student visa system in its first year to come and work in the UK, a report by Whitehall's spending watchdog says

Under a system introduced in 2009, each student must be sponsored by a licensed college and cannot change institution without gaining permission.

But "key controls" had not been put in place, the National Audit Office found.

Schools in England should be fined if pupils leave school with poor literacy skills

Schools in England should be fined if pupils leave school with poor literacy skills, an independent report into last year's riots says.

It adds they should demonstrate how they are building pupils' characters, and give careers advice to each child.

In its final report into disturbances, the Riots, Communities and Victims Panel puts schools firmly in the spotlight for preventing future riots.

But head teachers have dismissed the recommendations as unrealistic

Make a Wish: What do you wish for?

I put this question to my esteemed mentor Shaikh Mohammed Daniel and he replied thus:

"This sounds to me to be the story in which Sayyidina Abdullah Ibn Umar ibn Khattab(RA) the great Sahabi and erudite scholar of this Ummah, showed his extreme sagacity in the company of three of the tabi'een.

Musab Ibn Zubair ibnul Awwam (RA), Urwah ibn Zubair ibnul Awwam (RA) and Abdul Malik ibn Marwan were gathered one day with Sayyidna Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Khattab(RA)

Musab ibn Zubair said; As we are next to the Kaa'ba let us all make a wish (ta manuw) and Allah may accept our wish through the blessing of this gathering and your responding with 'Ameen'

So they said to him, as you have suggested this, why don't you start by making your wish first.
