that's what the sunni's call him too. he's not a Wahhabi tho. he said so himself.

Salam

Did you know that the Devil does not call himself "Devil".

He labels himself "Angel".

Omrow

yes he became devil the moment God rejected him out of his court

remind me of my first AL Hidyah shayke powerfully explain how
Iblis became devil

A rose protects its beauty with thorns..a woman protects hers with a veil

i dont think the imam is lying. he is a pious person and a very strict muslim.

Zara read the article in full. Just because your Imam doesnt approve of Mawlid un Nabi doesn't mean its not allowed in Islam. Islam teaches not to follow blindly. You don't have to always agree with everything your local Imam says.

I have never understood this concept of "strict Muslim"....Islam is not strict therefore Muslims who abide by Islam cannot be strict hence are just Muslims not "strict" muslims.

i ment it as very very muslim-like, follows islam properly, not on and off

When Allah swt order the Angels to prostrate to Hadrat Adam Alayhisalaam Iblis didn't. He said why shall i prostrate to a bashar, i am more superior than him, you have made me outoff fire and him outoff clay and dust.
He considered himself to be better than Adam Alayhisalaam and showed extreme disrespect to the Prophet of Allah. Therefore Allah then declared iblis to be Shaytan and Allah Ta'allahs curse will be upon him till the day of judgement.

thank you noor.
i hate to admit this but i used to feel sorry for shaytan when people chucked stones at him when doing hajj. i feel very stupid.

The reason why we do that act is because of what happen to Hadrat Ibrahim Alayhisalaam. Allah swt put hadrat Ibrahim to test and asked him to scarifice his son Isameal alayhisalaam and on the way, when he was going to fulfil that wish by Allah, shaytan tried tempting him not to sacrifice his son and not to listen to Allah. Then Adam alayhisalaam realised it was the shaytan playing tricks on him and he then started to threw stones at him so that he could get away.

how can shaytan tempt all of us when there is only one of him?

Thats kindoff tricky to answer.. just look at it in this way, shaytan is everywhere, he's in people, he's on the TV, internet, shaytan is in the misguided people, he is everything which is haraam (well not literally.. but uno)..Shaytan sits on the right path waiting to lead astray those who are on the path of guidence.

Check out this link, it may make things a lil clear, im not good with explaining stuff.

that's very clear, thanks. now i understand...

I didnt wanna start a new thread.. but did anyone happen to watch crime watch a couple of days ago?

It was mainly an appeal for help with the so-called 'honour' killing of Naziat Khan by her husband, Zafar Iqbal, who is thought to be on the run in Pakistan.

Part of the appeal included a background piece about the nature of so-called 'honour' crimes in Britain's minority communities, explaining that such backward attitudes pervade all ages, which was demonstrated with several vox pop clips of younger Asian British males expressing their views on family honour.

One of the men shown was particularly forthright in the lengths he would go to in this regard, and said, I recall, words to the effect that 'and you can quote me' on that. Strangely, in his case, the Beeboids blurred out his face, so he managed to spread his evil views without of course being able to be held responsible for what he said, either by his family, community or the local constabulary.

that guy they interviewed was a tosser.. he was asked what he wud do if he saw his sister with a guy and he goes he's beat the guy up and then his sister, he said he'd do much more but becuase its on TV he won't say.

He really gave out a backwards view of asians, what got to me was that he was a young teenage buy, if he was old and from back home then it'd be kinda understandabke but not a guy born and bought up here.

The devil has an army of followers who do his work for him...so there's more than one of him.

Also, there this part of us called the Naf (ego)...this also incites us to do evil, which is why people commit sins in Ramadan even when the devils are locked up.

right...so shytan has kids? awww...can't they become muslims tho? they didn't chose to become a shaytan, he's only their dad.
