Your formal speech hints at arrogance. It may not be intended, but will cause more colourful scenes.

bro, this is well out of order
just because littlesis agreed with my view on that topic , as did alot of ppl on this forum, you have no right to say they are blind following me. Most ppl here are muqallid of Imam Abu hanifa.... like i sai dto you before bro, if someone diagrees with u , why do u take it personally, why accuse them of this and that.
As for the point that it is a sin to come on thsi forum because boys and girls are talking to each other! This is totally and utterly wrong. Bro, what is intermixing. Speaking to, and being with ghayr mahrams unenecessarily.
Now speaking to the opposite sex at work is it intermixing?
speaking to the opposite sex in the classroom is it intermixing?
speaking to the opposite sex face to face about islam , is it intermixing?
speaking to the opposite sex on the phone, or through email about islam, is that intermixing?
you see islam prohibits intermixing because it will lead to zina, illegal relationship, create fitna etc.
now if you speak to the opposite sex due to neccesity liek in your work place or due to educational reasons then what is wrong with it, as long as youre intention is only to speak to them out of neccresity. At work you have to speak to everyone, man, woman, gay..whatever. this is actually indirect dawah, being a role model. so islam does permit that.
now speaking to the opposite sex about islam is permissible as long as you're intention is dawah only, the female is dressed approproately and that you are not in isolation. so speaking to the opposite sex over sialmic issues, answering questions, discussing organising an event etc is permissible. Islam is not that rigid. At any time if you feel the other person is trying to chat you up, flirting, behaving unislamically then you should end it asap.
i speak to female work colleagues, muslim sisters on phone, email, msn regarding islam, answering questions and queries, regarding revival magazine, on islamic stalls etc..is that intermixing?
Now speaking to the opposite sex on the forum. i dont think anyone does flirt or chats ppl up, we the moderators make sure of that. this forum helps us all to understand and discuss issues facing muslim men and women, non muslim men and women in the UK and worldwide. it does increase knowledge, wakes you up to the modern issues....
we as muslims should not be rigid but open minded, with the right intention and bare the shariah in mind at all times.

its well out of order? how plz explain?
she and u i might add are leaving the ruling of the elders of ahnaaf, u are setting urselves up as mujtahid imams. nothin out of order in the way i wrote, i didnt use disrespectful language so whats so out of order?
Any1 who looks objectively will see that you STILL have not provided even a scrap of evidence that the hanafi ruling has been changed. Brother I have no personl interest in this issue. If Imam Abu Haneefah, Imam Muhammad, Imam Abu Yusuf or later the Majority of Ahnaaf issued a fatwa saying that womens attendance at mosque is a must , even then i would follow their opinion that womens attendance is a must. See whatever the issue I strongly believe in doing taqleed so you are rong in accusing me of taking it personally. I can assure you personally has nothing to do with it.
All I have done is fllow what the books say the elders of Ahnaaaf ruled and to this day I have not heard or seen any evidence that any hanafi alim of standing has said that the issue has been changed or that the ruling is no longer valid.
Brother I a hurt that you found that post of mine out of order. As far as I can see certain people here are giving rulings which contradict the proven rulnigs of the elders of their school and I have REPEATEDLY requested proof that the hanafi ruling is no longer as the one I stated. If going against the elders of your madhab, if giving a different ruling or opinoin to the unbroken consensus of your madhab, if not providing a single evidence to prove that your madhabs ruling has been changed is not setting yourself up as a mujtahid then what is?
Taqleed my brother does not mean following in some issues and discarding the others. Alhamdulillah we are muqallid of Ulama Ahnaaf. We cant accept 90% of their rullings and then on a whim WITHOUT PROVIDING EVIDENCE go against them in 10% of issues.
Again I reassure you that I am not being stubborn. Brother provide evidence that the ruling has changed, I will investigate and ask for further clarification from Ulama Karaam; I have no problem with changing my view as you will se in prevoius posts and in other threads i DO apologise when I feel that I have done wrong, so it is not a matter of some1 disagreeing with me personally.
If the issue was about disagreeing with me personally then that would mean that the ruling regarding women is my ruling. I have proven that the ruling is that of Elders of Ahnaaf , my personal opinion doesnt come into it at all. I kindly request you clarify this issue viz that this is not my personal opinion and rather it is the opinion of Elders of Ahnaaf.
The accusation of me having personal opinion is extremely dangerous one. I will not have people casting doubt on my taqleed of Ahnaaf Ulama. It may insignificant in the eyes of others but accusing me of formulating a personal opinion is indeed a great lie on me and I reject it.
we as muslims should not be rigid but open minded, with the right intention and bare the shariah in mind at all times.
i think its becoming a lot clearer where "misconceptions" regarding Muslim women come from
them who hold ridgid backwards-view regarding free mixing and women's rights/role
are repsonsible for the misconceptions
Submitted by Medarris on 4 September, 2005 - 18:05 #54
MuslimSis plz provide evidence evidence that the hanafi ruling is no longer as i stated.
People cant just make their own rulings, that is not taqleed. You MUST provide evidence (not talking about ahadeeth) I am talking about ulama's consensus on an issue that the ruling has changed.
As for the point that it is a sin to come on thsi forum because boys and girls are talking to each other! This is totally and utterly wrong. Bro, what is intermixing. Speaking to, and being with ghayr mahrams unenecessarily.

read my post in the hijab and jeans thread, i have answered u there on the topic
here we are talking about free mixing, not women and mosques.
i havent left the view of teh elders or ahnaaf, i have gave evidence from mukhtasar al qudoori, and even told you view of Imam Ibn Abidin al Shaami on his view about women attending the masjid. so quit with your accusations, im sick of them. just your view of islam is not the only correct view you know...when i said you were intolerant and narrow minded...thats what i meant.

Umm Imara defended the Holy Prophet during the Battle of Uhud after the Muslims were defeated. Hadrat Umar ibn al-Khattab said "I heard the Prophet say ‘On the day of Uhud, I never looked right or left without seeing Umm Imara fighting to defend me.’"…..was she “free mixing”?
Hadrat Aisha (ra) was also an active lady. She went to mosques and rallied people to take up arms against Hadrat Ali.
She led thousands of men into the "Battle of the Camel."…… Hadrat Aisha (ra) also looked after the wounded in the battle of Uhud….was she “free mixing”?
Women always attended the teaching sessions of the Holy Prophet (saw)…... A well-known story depicts a woman reasoning with Hadrat Umar (ra) in the mosque over the issue of the amount of bridal money paid to the bride. It also illustrates how `Umar (the third caliph), being convinced of her argument, reversed his opinion to that of hers....were they “free mixing”.
Another example is that of the Queen of Sheba, which is cited by the Holy Qur'an as consulting her people about how they should respond to Solomon's message to her, later then she arrives in Prophet Solomon's (pbuh) palace, she converses with him….. is that “free mixing”?
In the prime of his youth, Prophet Moses (pbuh) is depicted talking to the two daughters of the old man of Madyan. He asks them questions and gets their answers without any particular feeling of guilt or embarrassment and helps them.
The stories cited in the Holy Qur'an are a means of reflection and guidance.
Islam is not a strict impractical rigid religion. Islam is a religion of moderation and balance.
By examining the mode of conduct of our pious predecessors we hardly find such an iron curtain, as is drawn by some people.

It may insignificant in the eyes of others but accusing me of formulating a personal opinion is indeed a great lie on me and I reject it.

i think its becoming a lot clearer where "misconceptions" regarding Muslim women come from
them who hold ridgid backwards-view regarding free mixing and women's rights/role
are repsonsible for the misconceptions
MuslimSis plz provide evidence evidence that the hanafi ruling is no longer as i stated.
People cant just make their own rulings, that is not taqleed. You MUST provide evidence (not talking about ahadeeth) I am talking about ulama's consensus on an issue that the ruling has changed.

Mr Ed have u ever heard a scholar speak about ^^^ this matter?
i havent comment on any of the above points so no point trying to make me shamed cos i aint mentioned anything about that.
still waiting for your answer to the hanafi ruling . . .
tick tock tick tock
Ya ALLAH Madad.
Haq Chaar Yaar
read my post in the hijab and jeans thread, i have answered u there on the topic
here we are talking about free mixing, not women and mosques.
i havent left the view of teh elders or ahnaaf, i have gave evidence from mukhtasar al qudoori, and even told you view of Imam Ibn Abidin al Shaami on his view about women attending the masjid. so quit with your accusations, im sick of them. just your view of islam is not the only correct view you know...when i said you were intolerant and narrow minded...thats what i meant.
get over it bro! you're beginning to get on my tits!!!!!
Easy there Ed! You're beginning to come across as[b]...
EDIT: Questioning of authority will not be tolerated. But you're right Ed should calm down.

Umm Imara defended the Holy Prophet
during the Battle of Uhud after the Muslims were defeated. Hadrat Umar ibn al-Khattab said "I heard the Prophet
say ‘On the day of Uhud, I never looked right or left without seeing Umm Imara fighting to defend me.’"…..was she “free mixing”?
