raas man- no real meaning, you use it when you are shocked, excited...

the term 'ah raas' actually derives from afro-carribean dilect and whilst i dont knw the literal meaning, its actually quite an obscene word. english lessons as school 4 ya Smile

Our high school English teacher, who has since killed herself, read 'ah raas' in a poem and told us it meant 'our ass'.

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

I HATED that poem

my sister also studied it so she helped me revise it

it was SO embarrasing when I was picked out to read this stupid poem in front of the class

I'm terrible with accents-the only one I can pull of is a Brummie accent and thats only cos mum has a brummie accent

"BLURT" means go

"just Blurt" means "just go"

e.g then he blurted....... (then he went)

BOO*YA!

Is my slang word for the week.

mean wicked.

To fear love is to fear life, and those who fear life are already three parts dead.

If a person has some food on them...or anything for that matter and you want them to share it you say "Share the love"

And sugar means kisses...they way you'd say to your little sister/brother to "gimme some sugar"

its SO funny when parents pick up, use and mis-apply slang words

mum has bad eye sight so she always asks us how she looks

one time I overhead her asking my baby sister "do my earrings look buff?"

which means "do my ear rings look good looking"?

she's a joker sumtimes Biggrin

got rushed-means you got jumped

dough-money

crib/manor/yard/hood-ur hse/area

beanie-good looking girl

bling bling-jewellary

heavy/chung-so nice/good

blud/bruv

O you who believe, If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm {Surah Muhammad7}

My parents say unlegal instead of illegal....not sure if that's a slang word.

yeah unlegal is a slang word i knw who use is "he is unlegal" n my favourite "laal fassfoot" red passport

What is the current status of 'safe'?

Is it used outside Birmingham? If so, has it become too common?

My mates say 'safe' instead of 'bye', 'huda hafiz' or 'salaam'.

They Vote To Send Us To War Instantly.....But None Of Their Kids Serve In The Infantry...

POWER TO THE PEOPLE....

all those slang words are from london…(alrite maybe 1 or 2 from america...)

da funniest thing in da world is hearing brummies, northerners, & non londoners in general, tryin to talk our lingo…every one copies us but sounds lame when doing it...

only lilSis can do it properly on here…

im going carnival tomorrow…gonna practice talking like lilsis sos i can fit in…

Whenever i see peopel using stupid mixed up slang reminds me of the Ali G fagget show were he acts all hard and funny.

Dog and Bone: phone

Turtle doves: Gloves

Ones and twos: Shoes

Old Bill: Police

That’s cockney rhythmaning slang

Shazan, I haven't heard those slangs apart from the old bill.

It's a dieing language only spoken by ingenious cockney population

Did a unit on it for GCSE english.

Many famous British poetry written in cockney slang format

The principal of our Islamic Summer School totally banned the use of Slang words this Summer.

Its very easy to slip into slang without even realising it...when I become too "relaxed" my speech becomes way too common.

I give up much easier speaking in Queens English, there a funny rhythm, which reminds me of people who speak slang;

Mary use to text day and night

when it came to her exams she forgot how to write.
