Summer in your Hijab
You think you dress modest
But do you really?
Far from Islam
If you’re honest
The sun is out
And clothes are discarded
Satan on holiday
Most people astray
Even the person with shorts
And woman with a bikini
Is regarded as modest nowadays
So you compare to them
Kaffirs without shame
Dignity or honour
And say you dress Islamic
But the reality is tragic
I suppose you try your best
To avoid the seduction of kufr
And so you compromise
And go halfway
Not fully Islamic
Or jahil
But somewhere in between
You’re not a hypocrite
But you’re easily misled
Fashion is like a god
Seducing and influencing
Those with weak thoughts
Making them a victim
People stare
But most don’t care
They love the attention
Hijab with tight clothing
And plucked eyebrows with make up
They need a shake up
And told the truth
That they are far from Islamic
And mostly jahil
Tabaruj on display
They might as well dress like the rest
Take of the hijab
And be semi naked
At least Islam won’t be blamed
And they won’t be shamed
For dressing like the non-Muslims
And thinking that they are modest
So take heed
Of these few words
And act upon Allah’s commands
And reject the lure of society
Calling you us to impropriety

Po the reply:
Tell you one thing pal
Before making such judgements
Please make it clear that this ain’t typical
Please make it clear that tis YOUR observation
Please make it clear that YOU don’t like to see it that way
Please make it clear that humiliating isn’t the correct tool
So be careful about what you say
OK there are those who fall astray
And yes there the ‘attention seekers’
But let us not be judgemental and narrow minded
If they wear the hijab then let them…
Don’t say they are better off without it
Cos you know they aren’t
Don’t give em a route to give up a good thing
Just to get them to do it ALL good
It may take time and space in their brain capsule
But at least they aren’t literally showing skin
They are packets of cracking emotions
It’s their choice, once you’ve done your bit
Back off and let them absorb it all
Otherwise they will hatch and scratch
Do you get what I mean?
The summer and the monsoon,
The sun is hot and yet we cover our heads
It’s easy for a dude to exclaim
It’s jihad for us, the great jihad I say
Changing oneself in the favour of Allah
The ladies will take it off if they want to
But why don’t they do it?
Have you ever pondered over that?
To me my scarf is my hair, if I wear it ‘cool’
I still attract attention (unintentionally!)
What does that make me?
Modesty has a limit and so do we
And so do you
Advice: Never give a lady the wrong advice!
Never ever you make that mistake…
There are some who won’t mind but there are lots who don’t think!
Black in the sun is a bad idea so,
Before you type anything that may be exclaimed as rude or sexist
Or discrimination against a fellow Muslim
Just:
Think and Think again…

Hey, I wanna try. A response to Showkat:
You sound like a fundamental-
ist, being all judgmental,
Who are you to judge anyone,
When you're just a smelly bum,
If you kept you gaze towards the floor,
You wouldn't notice them anymore,
If girls in hot weather make you too horny,
Go live somewhere cold like Norway!

Asalamu alaykum....
I don't think anyone should be offensive to anyone else
That's not Islam

That is true...
But in my defence I was trying to make it rhyme, without spending much time.
(wow I did it again!)
I am sorry Showkat. I regret the rudeness, but I still stand by the sentiment. Don't blame women for your lack of restraint. Next thing you'll hear is that immodestly-dressed women 'deserve to get raped' (I have heard this dozens of times from Muslims, astaghfirullah).

Whys everyone talking in rhyme? {shrugs 'oh well'}
Showkat be warned, Shawkat beware
By closing your eyes you see what isnt there,
Showkat be calm, open your eyes,
Theres no naked women, just truth and lies.
Love to live, living to die,
Be careful what you say,
Destiny knows what has to be,
You'll pay the price, nothing is free.

Writing poems ain't no joke,
It's hard to make them rhyme,
You think and think and think and think,
It's just a waste of...of...
err...
Money.

Erm... Somewhat...scary poem...
too many words i don't understand
and too many presumptions...
who exactly is it talking for? If it's only about the author, i think "you" should be changed to "I" OR "ME"
i.e Fashion is like a god
Seducing and influencing
Those with weak thoughts
Making them a victim
Should/could be
Fashion is like a god
Seducing and influencing....me.
(which btw sounds like an excuse...it might be better to take responsibility for actions)
"At least Islam won’t be blamed
And they won’t be shamed"
Well on the plus side, it rhymed
And i agree that anyone claiming to be Muslim maybe should act in a way that represents Islam....
however people do worse things that other people judge Islam by (i'e suicide bomb etc) And you have NO right to say
"They might as well dress like the rest
Take of the hijab
And be semi naked"
the "rest" don't ALL dress semi-naked and if they do, it's none of your business, it's completely up to them....as is Muslim girls wearing what they want to...
I have NEVER seen someone wearing a Hijab and being "semi naked"
And who is anyone to tell people not to wear a hijab?
I admire anyone who has the courage to wear a Hijab...and they (no-one actually) don't need to answer to you...
I wonder if Showkat's a girl or a boy...
Rawr.
