whats more embrassing then mayo etc on ur face

Can't you lick it off....

or wipe it with a tissue?

it being on ur face is more then embarrassing in the first place

best not to scoff burgers in public to begin with

Yeh getting sauce on your face while eating a burger can be embarrasing...in public, but the only time when I eat a burger is when I'm eating in.

I think getting sauce on your clothes while eating a burger is more embarassing then getting sauce on your face.

lol well i just found out the difficult way that you cant make your wifes life "perfect" all by yourself.

???

Everything alright?

Sounds like the perfect husband!

Has anyone ever had any disasters in the kitchen? I’ve lost count of the stupid things I’ve done in the kitchen…

Years back I leaned across the cooker to lift the lid off a pan to check what mum has made for dinner and my duppatta caught fire, instead of yanking it off…I started to run away from it, which obviously I couldn’t do as it was wrapped round my neck.

Another time I was making the Chappati’s wearing metal bangles, and my arm kept on heating up and I couldn’t understand why…

I’ve kneaded flour with my hair all open, ran my fingers through my hair and later wondered why I had flour in my hair and hair in the flour…

I’ve lost count of the number of onions/dinners I’ve burnt. I’ve also made all kinds of yucky food in the past…stuff that looks like the dogs dinner and tastes disgusting, which my parents happily ate claiming it’s the best food they’ve ever eaten.

I’m a lazy cook but can make tasty dishes when I put my heart into it. However, I’m sure if/when necessity arises and I don’t have too much on my plate I’ll become a fantastic cook.

LOL i dnt think i wnt to be around u in the kicthen sis!

I cud remmber my mum was cookin and her scarf caught on fire, she quickly took it off and threw it in the sink. Thats happnd a few times actually.

I dnt think i've ever had trouble in the kitchen, cz thats bcz i never cook or do anything!
When i do make anything itz just pasta and thats strght forward, or either making sum breki!

But i do like cooking, baking and stuff. I hate making asian dishes, cant stand them.. ther so boring, its the same thing everyday! and whenver u go to a wedding, same food being served again and again!

....might go and get a cooking book and start learning, lol, like hell thats going to ever happen!

i know home cooking sounds boring was to me too. But it comes in handy when you crave mum's dishes. Once she's gone those recipes will disappear with her, and learning to cook mum's dishes from books will be no where near the authentic thing.

So perhaps you should learn see it as educating yourself for your future, i/e married life, kids etc Wink

Am i the only one who cooked when i was away at uni? I took all my indian saucepans, tawa, spices, atta everything. i couldn't stand fast foods i wouldn't be satisfied without one of my mums dishes.

yep i'm sure you'll be a fantastic cook MS practise makes perfect!

i've had no disasters cooking but when i'm in a rush i can be really clumsy. I've burnt my hand, arm, and a few months back some oil splattered on my face. I was scarred for a few weeks but it's gone now. The burns looked like i had ketchup on the edge of my lip loooool . Thank God for the face veil, i wouldn't have stepped outside like that lool.

I've started to do bits and bobs in the kitchen just to make mum happy.

I remember once trying to bake a cake (was reading the recipe from a book). And I think the book was abit dodgy coz it didn't say self rising flour so I assumed it was plain flour. So anyways at the end when I got the cake out of the oven it was still flat and was quite raw and sugary Lol

I still forced everyone to eat it because I didn't want my hard work to go down the drain.

When mum is cooking I sometimes go and do stuff like mixing the things in the pot and crush onions/garlic when I'm told Biggrin

What did i tell ya Muslimbro, ur mummy wants u all trained up for ur wifey! Wink

How important is "Me-time" for you guys....how often do you get it, and what do you do with that time...?

I used to love "me-time" before and in that time I just lazed bout, pampered myself/treated myself etc but mostly what I used to love doin was just sitting on my own and just reflecting on life but now I don't as much coz I get very emotional easily and start thinking about the past and things which get me upset so this type of thing I don't do no more. As for treating myself etc totally guilty  (but to be honest whenever I am down and I buy myself something or get my hair cut I feel much happier)

I hardly get the time even though i dnt actaully do anything!! but when i do, i tend to have a quick mini clear out, sort out my comp; cleaning it up and stuff and thaats about it..>! or do sum pampring, taking of haircuts i need a chop! Want to get my hair streakd but still not decided on a colourr!

Why is me time such a big deal?

A piece of essential wisdom about our lives is broadcast every time a plane takes off. No, it's not about your tray table. It's this: If the oxygen mask drops and you're traveling with small kids, put yours on first -- before you help them.

Too many women, single or married, childless or mothers, are endlessly fulfilling every obligation except the one to themselves. For your mental, physical, and psychological well-being, you sometimes just need to stop. Then you need to do something you want to do. You need to take some Me Time.

When they asked what women wanted more of in their lives, the two most popular answers were "peace" and "time." They were talking about a sense of serenity and control over their lives. The women polled also said they would like more sleep, and that they battle the "guilt that creeps in whenever they take a break."

For many women, other women are the key to Me Time. Studies have shown that having a strong network of friends enhances people's satisfaction with life and even their health.

'Me-time' is so important. How often do I get it? Not often at all. I dont think you really understand or appreciate the concept of 'me-time' until you never get it, you know the phrase 'the time to relax is when you don't have time to relax'. I've spent a fortune on pampering products which I bought because I felt I deserved them, but still havent got round to using them. Even when it comes to simple stuff like meeting up with friends, my time is rationed. My intention is always to make time for myself. It's weird as I dont have any responsibilities apart from my full time job - there just seems to be so much to do.

I think the brothers' view on this subject would be interesting. I wonder if they ever feel like they never get time to themselves or even whether they feel the need for 'me-time'??

I havent had Me-Time for weeks...Uni is getting to me, car troubles, my financial situation, my family and everything.....as a result I'm grumpy, moody, short-tempered and not very good company.

This weekend, should be Me-Time for me....usually shopping, eating out, catching up with friends and pampering myself (nails, hair, etc) is what I do during Me-Time....however, cos I'm very poor these days, its'll only be the latter this weekend.

i always have 'me-time' it gets boring after a while. why's it so important?
