Having a “favourite” is beyond ones control.

And a favourite is the one whose heart one is most inclined towards. One can’t help who they love the most.

However, as long as others are not made aware of this “favouritism” it shouldn’t lead to any problems.

However, this isn’t easy though…that’s why Muslim men are advised to keep “only one if they are unable to be fair to them all”.
