BBC News: "'Oldest' Koran fragments found in Birmingham University"

What may be the world's oldest fragments of the Koran have been found by the University of Birmingham.

Radiocarbon dating found the manuscript to be at least 1,370 years old, making it among the earliest in existence.

Just a comment that this isn't the whole qur'an, just fragments.

When looking at the text, I find it hard to read but I saw a video where someone was reciting from the fragments and that was pretty cool.

This is an interesting find.

It also may open up questions about how the Qur'an was compiled into book form - for those that hae studied Islam, all this has been clearly documented and known through the ages, but for those less informed, this may be new information.
