I don't think 'Ed understood how big the issue of alcohol is.

On the issue of disassosiation, I dont see why that is so wrong - you do not need to hang around with people when they drink and peer pressure is a real issue. You must be certain that they will not influence you before you can influence them etc.

On the issue of Imam's as the second half of the show goes into... they are not superhuman.

You can have jacks of all trades or you can have specialists in one/few. But you will rarely get both.

Also, someone asked a question of drinking alcohol and praying... while you must still pray if you drink... you cannot pray while innebriated. You must wait til the effects have worn off; there is a verse in the qur'an that goes something like "and do not approach prayer while you are drunk".

anda third post.. about the answer that some people use - "stress etc turns me to drink" - its kind of a BS answer IMO.

For that to be the case they have to have drunk it before they came to that realisation. and it may be a reason in causing teh stress etc in the first place.

Alcohol does NOT make u forget ur problems!

if it did, then why is it wen ppl are depressed and drunk they go on n on about WHY theyre depressed
it makes it worse!
