The purpose of this blog is to discuss job roles where selling alcohol is required. As we are living in a Western society, we may assume that we are earning halaal earnings. But little do we realise that our job roles are slipping us into sin.

In the name of Allah most merciful, most kind. I will highlight the problems we are facing in today’s society. Many of us are employed into big companies such as Banks, supermarkets etc. this increases our chance of job prospects and further opportunities at even bigger companies with higher roles. However as Customer Service Advisor our main role is to provide the best service to customers.

With the rise of drug misuse, especially by our youngsters, I decided to write an article to highlight the dangers of smoking weed and by concluding with an Islamic perspective. Marijuana or K2 is a class B drug which is widely popular in the UK. Marijuana (weed, hash, pot, dope etc.) effects the mind.

The National Institute for Health states that, due to the misuse of drugs, there is a change in the neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin. These neurotransmitters are affected by all drugs. Furthermore, the more a person smokes weed throughout their lifetime, the greater the chance of developing mental health disorders, later on in life.

The topic is hot as many homosexual Muslims openly come out to declare their sexuality. For years homosexual Muslims have been hiding their sexuality due to the fear of what family would say and simply going against the religion. So what’s changed now? People are now following a more secular view and believe that they have the freedom to do what they want without the influence of Religion. So when Religion is taken away from the equation, how can homosexual Muslims claim to be Muslims?  Furthermore, with the strong influence of media, many Muslims are accepting their sexuality and declaring it to the world. This is because the media has led them to believe that it is okay to go against the holy books and be a Muslim and a homosexual – something which god has forbidden.

Light of creation, oh light from Allah’s manifestations

We look towards you with high expectations

You are the Prophet for all of the nations

A gem you are, a bright light

It amplifies and radiates throughout the night

Across the world, your radiant light shines so bright

Ya Nabi we salute you day and night

Countless blessings we send upon you each time

The beloved of Allah is what you are

A role model and messenger, for us, you are

Oh suffering Muslims try not to cry,

Palestine soon you will be free, not matter how hard the haters try!

Suffering fathers in Syria, you have our prayers,

Please don’t feel like no one cares.

My brothers and sisters in Syria forget about the size of your family tree,

Inshallah shortly you’ll be free.

Everyone cares, but only some are selfless and brave,

Some just stay quiet and crawl back into their cave.

There are very few who perform selfless acts,

Some people just need to deal with the facts!

Oh Palestinians try not to cry,

Be patient and raise your hands up high.

We’ve got people living here,

Who have no fear.

We’ve got people living here who are wasting their time,

Too busy indulged in crime.

Why don’t we remember our brothers and sisters?

Mothers and fathers who are going through pain,

Likewise we’ve got people, who are playing a game,

Trying to gain fame.

Wake up before it’s too late,

And try to change your fate.

Why are we wasting time watching the news?

Who are trying to get across their bias views

Take a break from your busy tasks,

And look at the numerous facts.

Show your respect and care,

Pray for everyone suffering out there.

Muslim women are always covered from head to toe and they are told to follow certain rules which are enforced upon them. Alot of people question why? We'll just imagine if you had a diamond would you want everyone touching and scratching it? NO! likewise girls are like diamonds to their parents. Parents make sure their diamond is not touched or scratched by covering, protecting and keeping their diamond safe. Therefore draw your veils over your heads and guard your modesty. Just imagine the ummahatul Mumineen sacrifised their life for the hijab and we cannot even keep it on our head, never mind sacrifise. "Purify yourself inward and out, in order to reach the level of truth."

If you are kind, people may accuse u of selfish ulterior motives - be kind anyway.

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered - forgive them anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies - succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank people may cheat u - be honest anyway.

What you spend years building, someone may destroy it overnight - build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, others may be jealous - be happy anyway.

Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough - give the world your best anyway.

The good you do today people will often forget tomorrow - do good anyway.

You see in the final analysis, it is all between you and Allah.

they laugh at me and say I'll break
I'm too fragile, I need a cake.
anorexic that's what I am
I can't help it, that's just the way I am........

"Fat!" that's what I'm labeled
I'm not the ideal weight
but I'm not too out of shape
yet "Mr Blobby" they call me
so I run home and starve myself to sleep
starvation diet and plenty of exercise is all I need........

"Migit" thats what I am
they stare at me and think I'm an abnormal man
Dwarf I am, dwarf I'll be
there's nothing I can do
thats just me!.............

"Ugly that's what they say
a few spots I have on my face
and a label is given to my name

"I don't care what they say but deep down im detoritaing away"

before you judge me just remember
"I am what you make me."

o.k so my Christian friend wants to be a muslim for a day I told her it's worth a shot. what do you think? Is it possible?
