Salaam

I received a letter from the PGCE department confirming my place in the teacher’s training course.

BUT, before I breathe a sigh of relief, this offer is conditional…I have to pass a maths equivalence test next Friday in order get in..

So I have 7 days to revise for GCSE maths. I don’t know how I’m going to find the time…

I already have my GCSE maths…but since I got a pathetic 11/28 in the maths paper in the interview (which was 11year old standard)…I basically have to take another maths test to secure my place.

This man is holding open the Quran at a Hamas rally celebrating the party's election victory.

This 'gesture' is made in an Al Qaeda video too. One person holds the Quran open and a few other people hold klashnikovs in front of the Quran.

Muslim Brotherhood members do this also.

The soul in Islam is the ethereal substance — spirit (Hebrew:rooah or nefesh) — particular to a unique living being. The soul is both immortal and innately aware of its immortal nature, as well as the true basis for sentience in each living being.

According to the Qur'an of Islam (15:29), the creation of man involves Allah "breathing" a soul into him. This intangible part of an individual's existence is "pure" at birth and has the potential of growing and achieving nearness to God if the person leads a righteous life.

British Muslim Womens Identity?

How do cultural norms, religious beliefs and the western society itself influence British Muslim Womens's identities?

Can anyone give me a few poiinters on how to tackle this one?
I want to write a literature review however finding it difficult to organise my review into four sub headings...
e.g. The Muslim woman
e.g. Islam
e.g. Family

I will appreciate all and any help lol Wink

These days i hear every Tom, Dick and Harry call some one a kafir. Ed quoted on a hadith a while back saying the prophet sed dat if anyone calls a muslim a kafir it is as if he is a kafir him self (well it sed something like that any way :roll: ).

I was at the bus stop da other day and dis guy was arguing to another guy about what you MUST beleive to be a Muslim and what you CANNOT do to be a muslim.

1 of da guy said dat all bidah is shirk and u cannot be a muslim if u get involved in bidah stuff, dis uda guy sed committing the highest form of shirk means u is not a muslim.
