Brits getting thicker!

Pretty damning really.

Not only are GCSE's (and equivalents) getting easier, but as a whole the students are getting thicker aswell.

A new report reveals that children today struggle with questions they could have answered 30 years ago, says Sian Griffiths

For a decade we’ve been told that our kids, just as they seem to be getting taller with each generation, are also getting brighter. Every year new waves of children get better GCSE, A-level and degree results than their predecessors.

Med is banned?

salaam

ive jusy discovered Med has been banned...

best move Admin has ever made...

one member insulting so many people, sectarian from day one, very quick to accuse most people here of bidah (even though he doesnt understand the topic properly)...

now at last we can talk about proper issues without one person making every topic sectarian...

The Revival is about discussing every day issues facing the Muslims today...now we can start doing that again and not get bogged down about the size of the beard etc...

so people, lets make this forum alive, real and relevant again...

Aamir Khan

Salaam

Apparently there was an Amir khan fight tonight.

First I heard of it!

Amir Khan continued his superb unbeaten professional record by defeating Vitali Martynov in just 75 seconds.

It was the 19-year-old lightwight's first six-round bout but he needed just one, knocking the Belarussian to the floor with a flurry of punches.

The referee stopped the fight after Martynov was left dazed by two left hooks and a straight right from Khan.

That's very kind of you to offer, but two's company and three's a crowd - especially where tuition is concerned...

As for Talespin - I used to watch it every week when I got back from school! I think Disney went through a golden age during that time; Duck Tales, Talespin, Chip and Dale...

Family Feuds and Violence

Certain event happened today which got me thinking.

How common are family feuds?

What are they normally over and do they get violent?

There are some famililes that I have seen that at nearly every single gathering they have - birthday party, wedding, death, whatever - soooner or later somthing kicks off and theres either an argument or a fight.

I have to admit it does get a quite exciting - nothing like having an adrenaline rush at a normally boring function - but what does this behaviour achieve save the insult of ones hosts or the demeaning of ones honour?

Muslims In Prison

Salaam

In the eyes of God statutes are increased when one sins and repents…however, in our society sinners are looked down upon…even if they have repented and served their sentence.

I’m interested in Muslim women in prison.

In England we have 80,000 prisoners of which approx 10% are Muslims….and it’s sad that only a handful of prison volunteers are Muslim.

Why are we so overrepresented? Is it because most Muslims in UK are economically at a disadvantage compared to other faiths?
