Female Genital Mutilation

Salaam,

Forgive me if this topic has already been raised here.

This is not an issue that we may come across often in our day to day life, but I remember attending many lectures during my PGCE course regarding FGM because apparently its on the increase, particularly in the amongst people from the African culture...and its a procedure usually carried out during the ages of 7-11...which means that primary school teachers are more likely to report it and/or stop it from going ahead.

It's classified as child abuse.

Islamically, male circumcision is sunnah.

Game delayed over Koran phrases

Sony has postponed the global release of a much-anticipated video game due to concerns that it may offend Muslims.

Copies of LittleBigPlanet are being recalled from shops worldwide after it emerged that a background music track contained two phrases from the Koran.

Sony issued an apology for any offence that its use of the backing track might have caused.

The changed version of LittleBigPlanet will now go on sale on 3 November in the UK and 29 October in the US.

Productive Discussions

Salam

I noticed that on page 33 of the NO TOPIC thread one member
complained about to seeing too many marbles on the floor.

http://www.therevival.co.uk/forum/general/3365?page=32

Therefore, I thought that we need a productive area in order to... well, produce things.

Please use it wisely. Keep things short, and get to the point.

Also, do not babble on so many different things. Stick to the subject you are discussing. Others who wish to join the topic should help one side only and not hijack the discussion to new areas. And after about 4 or five posts, you should either agree, or end the discussion by agreeing to disagree.

Remember, this is not appreaching thread.

Game On!

Salam, I think this forum needs a few online games. Why? Because we don't waste enough of our precious time already, chatting about rubbish, that's why.

So I shall start with a lovely little game that tests your hand-eye coordination, patience and, of course, character. It has a simple name: 'The Maze Game'. So please play, and also share the lovely bits of internet lovilness that you may find, too.

There are only three levels, but the third level is pretty tricky.

Oh, I nearly forgot. It might be a good idea to turn your speakers on, you'll find out why when (if) you complete the game.

W'salam.
