Spammer

Well.. Just ran a trace on the spammer...

traced two separate ip's used.

One ended up at a uni in Iran. Another in the linkbynet solutions network solution in france. (ISP probably was tiscali, as it went through that network...)

So either we have a travelling spammer, or a group, or someone controlling a botnetwork.

Interesting. I would have thought they would have thing to do.

Apparently I am wrong.

oh and instead of deleting the isersz, can mods please just ban them, sending the username to me. I can them analyse them for wildcards...

Muslim 'Yoof' Magazines.

Salaam

Just a place to discuss the 'competition'.

There is As-Sabiqoon.

There is also VOICES.

Voices does not seem to have a web presence... (the site is just a placeholder IMO... ).

So lets discuss other magazines here, and not in the As-Sabiqoon topic.

List any others you are aware of. Also List what you read, and what you look for.

remember no need to insult or offend the other magazines. They we are all doing Da'wah. We cover a different niche to most though.

Israel storms Prison with british and US 'permission'

Salaam

I am seething 2night.
Israel holds militant after siege

Israeli forces have captured a senior Palestinian militant leader after storming the jail where he was held in the West Bank town of Jericho.

The raid began early on Tuesday, shortly after UK and US monitors left the Palestinian-run prison complaining about lax security arrangements.

Dozens of Palestinians, including Ahmed Saadat, surrendered to the Israeli troops after dark.

Angry protests and a wave of revenge abductions followed the raid.

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, who has since

The best from the Independent article was something like number 18. It was talking about how the muslims knew the earth was round. The reason being the sun was always directly overhead at some point in the world.

Anyone else notice this? Or is it just my PC?

The Movie topic

Salaam

Watched White Man's Burden tonight. (BBC 2 I think...)

Its an old film which I had not heard of before.

It was basically a social commentary based in an 'opposite' world to today, where the african Americans play the role of current white americans and vice versa.

The concept was brilliant.

It was thought provoking. And it challenged stereotypes. Probably an independent production, as I would not expect the mainstream cinema to produce it. (and it lacked the polish of blockbusters...)

I have also watched Syriana reently.

Corruption

Salaam.

The politically minded will already know of the 'big scandal' currently going on.

For those that do not the simple version is thet Tessa Jowell, the secretary of state for culture is currently in the docks for 'breaking the ministerial code' by not declaring lumps of money aid to her (since yesterday ex) husband By silvio Berlusconi for allegedly giving favourable evidence on his behalf.

Now I am glad that this is in the open, because I have an inkling that british politics is rotting with corruption. There is far too much coincidence in it.

So anyone have any views? Omrow?

What recent government laws mean to UK citizens.

Technology and the end of times...
RFID: Sign of the (End) Times?

CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts -- Katherine Albrecht is on a mission from God.

The influential consumer advocate has written a new book warning her fellow Christians that radio frequency identification may evolve to become the "mark of the beast" -- meaning the technology is a sign that the end-times are drawing near.

"My goal as a Christian (is) to sound the alarm," said Albrecht, in a conversation over tea at a high-end grocery store.

Albrecht has been a leading opponent of RFID, which is fast becoming a part of passports and paymen
