The Democrats have won control of the House of Representatives and the Senate. This is a massive blow to the governing Republican party led by President GW Bush. Donald Rumsfeld has resigned and there are talks of all kinds of investigations and subpoenas.

Lately we are getting some very interesting comment here. "I love when they kill a few soldiers", "Israel is an illegal state", "i agree with the Iran President guy when he said Isreal had no right to exist. They live on stolen proprety.

"And we all know whose fault it is. Stupid Brits (whose incidentally also caused the current situation in Kashmir). "

By all means respond or add your own.

Somewhere inside my head I am capable of resolving any issue I care about. In reality that cannot always be so, realistically because I can't be everywhere at once, and ideologically because one of my guiding principles allows people the space to do what they like so long as it isn't causing harm. Also I am not often empowered by other people to take charge, it is necessary in any case to be open to the views of others, and systems are in place that work better than crowning The Great 100.
